Aunque no llevo tantos años en el ecosistema —dos años y muchas satisfacciones— estos son elementos más que necesarios para participar en esta propuesta y explicar por qué sigo en Hive.

Lo primero que debo decir es que llegué a este panal cuando mi vida andaba sin rumbo. Tras 42 años de trabajo, me había jubilado y la casa se me quedaba demasiado grande.

@tonyes, @nony y @theinfiltred me animaron a entrar en este mundo, del que prácticamente no sabía nada. Pero, al ser profesora de Español y Literatura, tenía la posibilidad de crear contenido y decidí apostar por esto.

Es cierto que al principio estaba desorientada, pero los consejos de mis mentores y la ayuda de amigas como @osismi, @yirkahr, y otras, me fueron enamorando del proyecto.

Así que lo primero que debo decir sobre por qué estoy en Hive es que, en esta etapa de mi vida, ha sido una brújula importante y me ha ayudado a lidiar con mi jubilación de una mejor manera.

Hive ha tenido y tiene un propósito y un significado esencial, porque contribuye a un objetivo de salud mental, equilibrio emocional y ayuda económica.

Hive me ha permitido ser resiliente y tener mentalidad de crecimiento, porque todos los obstáculos presentados en el camino se han convertido en oportunidades para aprender y mejorar, en lugar de verlos como fracasos.

Estar aquí me permite tener una visión clara de lo que quiero, y hacer una planificación flexible sobre lo que deseo publicar y compartir con los miembros del ecosistema.

Además, estar en Hive me permite disfrutar de este proceso y encontrar satisfacción en el trabajo que realizo, más allá de las recompensas económicas que recibo. Si estar en Hive fuera solo por dinero, no habría valido la pena seguir, ya que mis remuneraciones no son para nada sustanciosas.

Pero Hive me da mucho más y refuerza la idea de estar aquí, porque me da mucha paz y alimenta mi alma. Cada vez que recibo un comentario, un voto o una recompensa —aunque sea una— me agrada saber que mi trabajo ha llegado a las personas y vale la pena seguir.

So, the first thing I should say about why I'm on Hive is that, at this stage of my life, it has been an important compass and has helped me navigate retirement more effectively.

Hive has had, and continues to have, a vital purpose and meaning because it contributes to mental health, emotional well-being, and financial support.

Hive has allowed me to be resilient and have a growth mindset because all the obstacles I've encountered have become opportunities to learn and improve, instead of seeing them as failures.

Being here allows me to have a clear vision of what I want and to flexibly plan what I want to publish and share with the members of the ecosystem.

Furthermore, being on Hive allows me to enjoy this process and find satisfaction in the work I do, beyond the financial rewards I receive. If being on Hive were only about money, it wouldn't have been worth continuing, since my earnings are not at all substantial.

But Hive gives me so much more and reinforces my reason for being here, because it brings me so much peace and nourishes my soul. Every time I receive a comment, a vote, or a reward—even just one—I'm happy to know that my work has reached people and that it's worth continuing.
