CHALLANGE: RELEASE YOUR WILD SIDE
Welcome to a new weekly challenge. While we were still buzzing about the arrival of Arcane Conclave and all the impact of this new card set for the modern format, I have the news that the Wild format has been released for all players this season.
With no need to pay for a battle pass now, it may be the best time for some of us to rediscover this format and, perhaps, for many players to try it for the first time.
If that is your case and you are taking your first steps in Wild, one way to understand why this format is so called would be, in a nutshell, that it is an eternal format in which all the collections that have ever been played in Splinterlands have their place.
So it is easy to find very crazy fusions, where units from the past and present of the game come together in new and interesting synergies along with cards with maximum levels and strategies full of nostalgia. Like every player, you surely have your favorite units, elements, all that freedom and power, which are the pillars of the Wild format and are at your fingertips.
Undoubtedly, enjoying this game mode is a way to reuse all those cards that have accompanied us season after season and that we have grown fond of, and that have changed format.
WILD LIFE
I don't mean by this that Wild mode is just an elephant's graveyard where the big collections go to rest, far from it. I know that some players rent cards and bots to play exclusively and, at the time, I came to enjoy it too.
That's why I was surprised that, after such a long time, I'm starting the current season in the silver league, the same league where I play in the other modern format.
It may be quite easy to compare both formats without going into the details if we look at it from the point of view of earnings only, but that is quite unfair, because my multiplier and my earnings are higher in modern, while my collection and the cards I have at my disposal are substantially higher in the wild. All that without having access, as is my case, to the cards of the first editions of the game and their multipliers, nor to the amounts of SPS that this particular format needs to be able to compare.
WELCOME TO THE JUNGLE
In terms of fun, I guess you could say that this gift has doubled my playing opportunities and ultimately encouraged me to burn a lot more energy than in any other season.
I am more active than ever in the game in these early days, even if this has ultimately reduced my win rate more than I would like to admit.
For now, I'm still in the silver league. With some tough battles, but always with the most interesting confrontations.
SOMETHING WILD
This season has only just begun, but I am sure it will be remembered for marking a before and after in the gameplay with the arrival of the new edition, and also for giving us the opportunity to try our wildest side and, ultimately, enjoy the game like never before.
How is it developing for you, have you also rediscovered game modes you thought you had abandoned or is this the first time you've unleashed the wild beast and all its potential?

CHALLANGE: LIBERA TU LADO SALVAJE
Bienvenidos a un nuevo desafío semanal. Mientras todavía estábamos en pleno ajetreo por la llegada de Conclave Arcana y todo el impacto que supone este nuevo set de cartas para el formato modern, tengo la noticia de que se ha liberado para todos los jugadores durante esta temporada el formato Wild.
Sin necesidad de pagar ahora un pase de batalla, quizá sea el mejor momento para que algunos de nosotros reencontremos este formato y, quizás, para que muchos jugadores lo prueben por primera vez.
Si ese es tu caso y estás dando tus primeros pasos en Wild, una forma de entender por qué se llama así este formato sería, en pocas palabras, que es un formato eterno en el que tienen su lugar todas las colecciones que se han jugado alguna vez en Splinterlands.
Así que es fácil encontrar fusiones muy locas, donde unidades del pasado y del presente del juego se unen en nuevas e interesantes sinergias junto con cartas con niveles máximos y estrategias llenas de nostalgia. Como todo jugador, seguro que tienes tus unidades, elementos favoritos, toda esa libertad y poder, que son los pilares del formato Wild y que están al alcance de tu mano.
Sin duda, disfrutar de este modo de juego es una forma de volver a utilizar todas esas cartas que nos han acompañado temporada tras temporada y a las que hemos cogido cariño, y que han cambiado de formato.
VIDA SALVAJE
No quiero decir con esto que el modo Wild sea únicamente un cementerio de elefantes donde las grandes colecciones van a descansar, ni mucho menos. Sé que algunos jugadores alquilan cartas y bots para jugar exclusivamente y, en su momento, yo también llegué a disfrutarlo.
Por eso me ha sorprendido que, después de tanto tiempo, comience la actual temporada en la liga de plata, justo la misma liga donde me muevo en el otro formato modern.
Puede ser bastante sencillo comparar ambos formatos sin entrar en los detalles si lo miramos desde el punto de vista unicamente de las ganancias, pero eso es bastante injusto, porque mi multiplicador y mis ganancias son mayores en modern, mientras que mi colección y las cartas que tengo a mi disposición son sustancialmente mayores en el wild. Todo eso sin tener acceso, como es mi caso, a las cartas de las primeras ediciones del juego y sus multiplicadores, ni a las cantidades de SPS que necesita este formato en particular para poder comparar.
BIENVENIDOS A LA JUNGLA
En términos de diversión, creo que se podría decir que este regalo ha duplicado mis oportunidades de juego y, en definitiva, me ha animado a quemar mucha más energía que en cualquier otra temporada.
Estoy más activo que nunca en el juego en estos primeros días, aunque esto a la larga haya reducido mi tasa de victorias más de lo que me gustaría admitir.
Por ahora, me mantengo dentro de la liga de plata. Con algunas batallas duras, pero siempre con enfrentamientos de lo más interesantes.
ALGO SALVAJE
Esta temporada no ha hecho más que empezar, pero estoy seguro de que será recordada por marcar un antes y un después en la jugabilidad con la llegada de la nueva edición, y también por darnos la oportunidad de probar nuestro lado más salvaje y, en definitiva, disfrutar del juego como nunca.
