¡Hola queridas Damas de Hive! Espero que se encuentren todas muy bien. Hoy me paso por acá para participar de las preguntas semanales de la mano de @alessandrawhite con temas muy interesantes para abordar.

¿Cuándo has tenido que aprender una nueva habilidad bajo intensa presión?

Siento que la mayoría del tiempo estoy aprendiendo habilidades nuevas bajo intensa presión y muchas veces impuestas por mí. Es curioso lo duro que puede ser uno consigo mismo, pero es real. Ahora no recuerdo un momento concreto en que haya pasado algo por el estilo. A veces me apena decir que no sé hacer determinada cosa y la hago sin tener idea, supongo que se dan cuenta que falló más de lo que acierto, en algunas ocasiones me iban corrigiendo sobre la marcha, como cuando intentó cocinar algo o hacer algo tan simple como pelar una fruta. También cuando estoy aprendiendo cosas nuevas, como entrar a Hive, fui siendo consciente de a poco de lo que no podía hacer y cometía errores grandes, lo bueno es que siempre hay gente dispuesta a corregirte, aunque a veces no de la mejor manera. Igual se agradece porque se termina aprendiendo y eso es lo que cuenta. Para mí cualquier tipo de presión se siente intensa porque tiendo a maximizar todo.

¿Cuándo juzgaste completamente mal a alguien al conocerlo por primera vez y luego descubriste que era mucho mejor o mucho peor de lo que pensabas originalmente?

Pasa más de lo que parece, hace poco me pasó con alguien que estoy conociendo. Es que da una imagen más seria y tímida, pero logró sorprenderme muchísimo con varias situaciones, acciones y verdades. Me estoy sorprendiendo mucho porque tenía otra imagen en mi cabeza acerca de esta persona, pero es una sorpresa en el buen sentido. Siento que a veces nos dejamos llevar mucho por las apariencias y solo hace falta interesarse por conocer a la persona realmente para ver esas otras cosas que posee y no se ven a simple vista. Hay que dejar los prejuicios de lado.

Pero sí, a lo largo de la vida juzgue a otras personas, tanto de buena como de mala manera y me demostraron lo contrario. También fui juzgada por otros de la misma manera y se me adjudicaron actitudes que nada tienen que ver conmigo. Pero las personas tendemos a armar nuestras propias películas en la cabeza, también tendemos a idealizar al otro y nada más lejos que eso. Es importante tomarte el tiempo de conocer a alguien e intentar no prejuzgar de entrada. Ese es el mensaje que puedo dejarles.

Hello, dear Ladies of Hive! I hope you are all doing well. Today I am stopping by to participate in the weekly questions from @alessandrawhite with some very interesting topics to discuss.

When have you had to learn a new skill under intense pressure?

I feel like most of the time I'm learning new skills under intense pressure, often self-imposed. It's funny how hard we can be on ourselves, but it's true. I can't remember a specific moment when something like that happened. Sometimes I feel bad saying I don't know how to do something and I do it without a clue. I guess they realize I fail more than I succeed. Sometimes they would correct me on the fly, like when I tried to cook something or do something as simple as peeling fruit. Also, when I'm learning new things, like joining Hive, I gradually became aware of what I couldn't do and made big mistakes. The good thing is that there are always people willing to correct you, although sometimes not in the best way. Still, I'm grateful because you end up learning, and that's what counts. For me, any kind of pressure feels intense because I tend to maximize everything.

When have you completely misjudged someone upon first meeting them and later discovered that they were much better or much worse than you originally thought?

It happens more than you might think. It recently happened to me with someone I'm getting to know. They give off a more serious and shy vibe, but they managed to surprise me a lot with various situations, actions, and truths. I'm really surprised because I had a different image of this person in my head, but it's a good surprise. I feel that sometimes we get carried away by appearances, and we just need to take an interest in getting to know the person to see those other things they have that are not visible at first glance. We have to put our prejudices aside.

But yes, throughout my life I have judged other people, both in a good and a bad way, and they have proven me wrong. I have also been judged by others in the same way and been attributed with attitudes that have nothing to do with me. But people tend to make up their own stories in their heads, we also tend to idealize others, and nothing could be further from the truth. It's important to take the time to get to know someone and try not to prejudge them from the outset. That's the message I can leave you with.
