Trust and snacks

Good day everyone, welcome to my blog

My image

My neighbor has a little child of one year plus. Whenever he is given a snack, be it sweet or biscuits, he would run as fast as he could from his parent's house to mine so I can open it for him. All that never really made sense till I came across a prompt.

The little boy would journey all the way from their compound to my door step to open his snacks because he trusted that I would open the snacks and hand it over in one piece without taking anything from it. He started bringing his snacks to me during holidays and he has made it a habit.

If I want him to stop bringing his snacks to me, it's a very simple task. I would just open it and remove it without his permission. I am very sure our relationship would not remain the same after I try so, i am not intending to.

After months of observation I realized that the little boy is not tight fisted; he just wants you to seek permission before taking his thing. Trust is a very sensitive issue that goes a long way to say a lot about a person's personality.

Imagine using someone as a referee on your curriculum vitae you submitted for an international job. The company calls the referee only for the referee to confirm knowing you but not trusting you because of a brech of trust that happened from you to him/her some times in the past.

You might think an apology is the most appropriate when trust is broken or lost but I bet you it is not because the kind of disappointment that comes with brech of trust is like a double edged sharp knife that is aimed at slicing one's heart. A scar can never be compared to the main skin so trust is rather left unbroken because once it is broken it's usually unmendable.

Thank you for reading, I am @ellizy.

He trusted you enough to open his snacks that another way of putting it of being trust the bond can't be broken easily but once that truth is broken it all ends there thanks for sharing
