PIC1000:Faruq Oreagba (Mr Steez).
Hello people, wellcome to my blog
What I see
I can see a lady dressed in an elegant and bold vintage style attire which can pass for a Victorian style of fashion. Her clothes are made from blue pattern material and the style is long dress with black lace around the chest and the lower part of the dress giving the dress a beautiul out look. The lady's outfit is complemented with a black like purple hat which is designed with blue tulle, feather and othe decorative elements like rose or flowers. Also, she is holding a parasol made from white and turquoise blue lace giving floral vibe. Adding class or demure to her appearance.
Her makeup is pale which makes her to look like a manique. She appear to be on the street and working towards a certain destination, probably a custom party, ball or tea invite.
What I feel
The image is showing elegance, class and undieing beauty. She is standing as if she stepped out from some past century and stepped elegantly into the present century with steez and demure like a beauty queen which she looks like.
Her appearance and carriage shows that she has seen different decades and may carry history from all the decades she might have seen. The way she is holding the parasol shows that she is being careful but her look is not showing the expected level of brightness which may mean that she may be sad or trying to recollect or remember something from her past.
MR STEEZ
Ojude oba is a traditional festival which usually comes up few days after the Muslim eild Adah celebration every year. The festival is usually celebrated in Ijebu land in Ogun state part of Nigeria even though it is now being copied by other people.
According to documentary, it was believed that the festival started from the first Muslim who came to settle in Ijebu land. It was believed that they pay homage to the Awujale who is of the king of Ijebu land for allowing them to practice their religion in his land without any hindrance.
In recent times, Ojude Oba festival has become known from far and near and it usually attended by indigenes and friends of Ijebu land both within the country and from diaspora. The festival usually have a lot of people from all works of life in attendance.
One of the people who has never missed a year's attendance for more than a decade is Mr Faruq Oreagba. Mr Oreagba had been attending Ojude oba festival for more than ten years before he came into sport light during last year's celebration. During the festival,Mr Oreagba made an entrance by riding on a horse.
He was dressed in a beautiful Yoruba men’s traditional attire of Sokoto kembe (three-quarter trousers), Agbada (big and large men top) and fila abeti aja (cap with dog ears design). His entrance made a statement and from there, a lot of people gave him the name MR STEEZ.
After that year's celebration, he was able to land a lot of endozenent deals and he became brand ambassador for a lot of brands. This year, a lot of people was on the lookout for Mr Oreagba's entrance, as expected, he made an humble and simple entrance at the occasion which shows maturity.
The lesson from Faruq Oreagba (Mr Steez) story is that, constituency is a good attitude to cultivate even if it does not pay off at the beginning but the result is always worth it.
Thank you for stopping by to read.
