It's sad that she doesn't think more of her relationship with you than she does. It's hard when you realize you've been doing all the paddling in the canoe and the other person was just along for the ride at your expense. I'm sorry she's been so thoughtless.

There is nothing wrong with caring for and about people. Pick and choose your battles, so to speak, and walk away from those that just aren't good.
