I can relate to what you are saying. For years, I led worship at church. I constantly compared myself to other worship leaders and it would suck away my self confidence. Imagine how I felt when the pastor at that church compared me to another worship leader he liked better! It took a while for me to realize that first off, I sang just fine, and just like people like one recording artist but don't like another, the same could be said for me. I was okay with that and when that realization came to be, I no longer worried about it and was free to do what I was supposed to do: worship God!

I am glad to read your comment, comparison is one of the worst things we can do as human beings because we are all different and have different abilities. That the moment of reality comes and to see that we are just wasting valuable time of our life is something that has happened to me and I really hope I am starting to learn from my mistakes and my past.
