Hello dear community, I hope you are all doing well.

Hola querida comunidad, espero que estén todos muy bien.

This little green friend visits our house several times a day.

Este amiguito verde nos visita a casa varias veces al día.

With its long beak it rummages through the flowers and occasionally pecks at the ceiling of the corridor.

Con su largo pico hurga en las flores y, en ocasiones, picotea tambien el techo del corredor.

When I go out into the yard, he flutters very close without seeming to be afraid of me, even though he is so small and seemingly defenseless.

Cuando salgo al patio revolotea muy cerca sin que parezca tenerme miedo, aun siendo tan pequeño y aparentemente indefenso.

Occasionally it lands on a twig and remains there for several minutes.

De vez en cuando se posa sobre una ramita y permanece allí varios minutos.

It seeks nectar from heliconias but also likes the flowers of the Ethiopian banana and the emperor's walking stick.

Busca néctar de las heliconias pero tambien le gustan las flores del banano etiope y del bastón del emperador.

It is a hummingbird of the species Chionomesa fimbriata

Es un colibrí de la especie Chionomesa fimbriata

It is also called "Bright-throated Emerald".

También es llamado "Esmeralda de garganta brillante".

His arrival in the garden always makes me happy. Here he gets food and helps pollinate the flowers.

Su llegada a el jardín siempre me alegra. Aqui él obtiene alimento y ayuda al polinizar las flores.
