The Tale Of Ryujo. Part 1

When Sakai asked Ryuzo to join him in the fight to rescue Lord Shimura, Ryuzo agreed on one condition. His men had been starving for a long time. They had no food left. He said that somehow they must steal food from the Mongols and feed his men. Only if Sakai helps him with this work, he join the battle. So we made a plan to raid a Mongol outpost where we might find food. According to the information, the location was near a cemetery, and I set out toward it.

On the way, near a patrol route, Sakai met a man. After speaking with him, Sakai learned that the people who used to live there had been infected with the plague. Almost everyone had died. However two people had run off in that direction. They were probably searching for help, but there was no one left to help them. The bodies needed to be buried or burned. Otherwise the plague could spread further. Sakai decided to track down the two plague victims. If they were alive, he would try to help them. If they were dead, he would burn the bodies to prevent the disease from spreading.

The only way to find them was by following their footprints. While tracking them through the forest, Sakai spotted a fox. Seeing a fox is always a good sign because foxes lead you to fox dens. I followed the fox and eventually it led me to a Fox Shrine near the edge of a cliff. I honored the shrine and after doing, Sakai unlocked a new charm slot. It was a great reward as charm slots are very useful for upgrading skills and abilities.

After that, Sakai resumed his search for the plague victims. Deep in the forest, he eventually found one of them already dead. he burned the body to prevent the plague from spreading further. After completing this small mission, Sakai continued toward his main objective. the meeting place Ryuzo had mentioned.

After riding for some time, he reached a coastal area where Ryuzo and his men were waiting. Ryuzo explained that the ships anchored nearby were carrying food supplies. If they attacked the ships, they might be able to secure food. However, near the shoreline they noticed a small Mongol fort. It seemed likely that the Mongols were bringing food by sea, storing it in this fort, and distributing it from there.

So instead of attacking the ships directly, we decided to attack the fort. It wouldn’t be easy. There were many soldiers inside, and a signal tower stood above the fort. If the Mongols activated the signal, reinforcements from nearby ships and areas would rush in to defend it. So our plan was clear: first, destroy the signal.

Jin took responsibility for this task. He slipped inside through a gap in the barricade. As soon as he entered, he saw a Mongol soldier working nearby. Without hesitation, Jin moved silently from behind and drove his blade into the soldier’s throat. The kill was quiet. No one noticed.

Moving forward, he spotted another Mongol practicing with his sword. The same fate awaited him. Jin approached from behind and sliced his throat with his katana. Blood splattered, but still no alarm was raised.
As Jin advanced toward the tower, he saw another soldier standing at the corner, gazing out at the sea. The man believed there was no danger, unaware that death was standing right behind him. In an instant, his life ended as well.

Inside a small room nearby, Jin found two Mongol soldiers celebrating, possibly drinking. Using his Chain Assassination ability, he eliminated both in a brutal attack.
Jin continued toward the tower. At the base, another guard stood watch. Jin stabbed him from behind, ending his life silently. Then, using a hidden path, Jin climbed to the top of the tower.

He destroyed the signal mechanism, ensuring the Mongols could not call for reinforcements. After breaking the signal, Jin set a fire at the top of the tower. This fire was the signal to Ryuzo. It was time to attack. The warning system had been destroyed.

HIVE coin is currently at a critically low liquidity. It is strongly suggested to withdraw your funds while you still can.
I enjoyed how you mixed exploration, side missions, and stealth action in one journey. The stealth approach in the fort was very satisfying to watch.
Your stealth approach inside the fort created strong tension, especially knowing that one mistake could bring reinforcements. I liked how the story balanced side quests and main objectives.
