Cuba is a very hot country due to the intense sun, temperatures are usually high, and being outside can be quite suffocating, especially in the early afternoon and evening.

Because of this, many Cubans seek refuge in the shade cast by buildings or Mother Nature herself to protect themselves from the sun. In the photos shown, we see a man sitting in the shade of a large tree in front of our building. From our perspective, we can say that, in this case, the shade captured serves a protective purpose.

Cuba es un país muy caluroso debido a lo incidente que es el sol, las temperaturas son usualmente altas y estar en la calle resulta bastante sofocante, especialmente en las primeras horas del mediodía y la tarde.

Debido a esta situación muchos cubanos se refugian en la sombra que proyectan edificaciones o la misma madre naturaleza para protegerse del astro rey. En las fotos que se muestran vemos a un hombre sentado bajo la sombra de un gran árbol, frente a nuestro edificio. Desde nuestra perspectiva podemos decir que, en este caso, la sombra captada cumple un objetivo protector.
