We just celebrated it in a borrowed style not in my tradition : LOH #266

I just celebrated it with others yesterday, not in my tradition but in a borrowed style where we all enjoyed it

The question in @ladiesofhive this week is a bit difficult talking about things you have done already and if not done I don't know how I would have answered it, but I was so glad when the female arms of my office announced there Christmas celebration to be on 4th of December and I was able to celebrate with others in a Christmas carol which is a tradition we borrowed from the white people, and as you can see non of us is putting on Ankara fabric which we are known for in our own tradition, this alone will convince you that we are celebrating in a tradition that is not ours and we all enjoyed the Christmas carol

This was so organized that the choir members were asked to wear white gown with a touch of red after they have gone through their practices for some days

Despite their few days rehearsal they performed excellently well and all of us were happy, infact they made us proud on how they sang the Christmas carol song

And because we have different local government headquarters who were also invited to witness and celebrate with us, the local government association of ladies and am so glad to write this post in ladies of hive because this Christmas carol celebration was for women

The celebration attracted so many dignitaries, our female heads of departments that have gone on retirement were also invited and many of them came, oh it was a joyous day to remember, we danced, they also acted drama on the birth of Jesus and that was in collaborate with the Christmas carol which was so touching

There was thoughtful lessons read from the Holly Bible and the lady preacher preach on the topic "a grateful heart" that we should develop a heart of thanksgiving even when we feel that our request from God has not been granted unto us, we should also thank God who has kept us alive from the month of January to date, that he alone is worthy of our praises and we will keep praising him for all he is doing in our lives
