A Contact With An Alien

The ridge that separates the human world from that of aliens was broken. While many sought for shelter , a curious alien sneaked through the crack and there I was standing. I couldn't believe what stood before me, an alien. The head was like that of a cone, its eyes big and had a triangular shape. Strange sounds escaped its mouth and it looked around, unfamiliar with its new environment. Even though it looked scary, its eyes were innocent. I could sense fear from the way it withdrew itself not knowing what to do next. This creature has emotion, I thought, it may be of help to humanity if I offer it friendship, I concluded.

I offered the alien my hand, reluctantly stretching its hands toward me. A few minutes later, it felt comfortable and held my hands, turning it side by side as if seeing something strange for the first time. Soon its hands traced my neck up to my face feeling every pulse. I watched it with curiosity, all sense of threat disappeared. I allowed it to satisfy its curiosity but then wondered what it was doing. While humans were special, it had certain abilities that distinguished it from humans.

I motioned for it to come and it followed suit. "You must be hungry" I said, not sure if it understood my language. Instead, I went to my veggies and started to chew them fresh. I stared at it and allowed it to fill. It made soft groaning sounds and seemed to hear every tiny sound around the environment. Even the silent tickling of the clock was loud enough for it to pick. I watch it jerk to every sound and run into hiding when it hears footsteps around the house. One thing it avoided was the burning sunlight, and I could guess their planet was as cold as ice. After it seemed to have satisfied its curiosity, it walked back to the opening and bid me farewell.

I wrote a story instead of a direct answer to the question. And from the story, I'll give the alien a room
