Two Witbier beers for the 456 #beersaturday challenge
I haven't had a #beer to share with you here in over a month.
The two beers that I will have the opportunity to write about today, I have already drunk before, but now for 456 in a row #beersaturday, I will make a comparison.

Hoegaarden and Blue Moon are among the most famous representatives of the Witbier style (Belgian white beer), but they differ significantly in color and taste. The amount of alcohol they have is the same, and the specific flavors emphasize the alcohol more or less.
Hoegaarden belongs to the traditional style, while Blue Moon is a more modern, American version of that style.
Hoegaarden beer is an authentic Belgian Witbier (Belgium), pale yellow in color and very cloudy.
It has a refreshing, slightly "sour" (citrus) taste, while the aroma is dominated by coriander, dry Curacao orange peel that is bitter and aromatic with yeast notes that give it a slight banana smell.

With 4.9% alcohol, this refreshing beer should be drunk from a wide hexagonal glass, so that it warms up more slowly.

Blue Moon (USA) "Belgian-style" is a Wheat Ale based on the American concept.

Golden-orange in color, the beer is slightly cloudy.
The sweetness of the Valencia orange is pronounced on the taste, which is much sweeter than Curacao, so drinking Blue moon beer compared to sour Huegarden seems like drinking some juice.

I didn't have a suitable glass for the Huegarden, so I used one that is wider and has a foot, for the closest possible impression.
First I drank Huegarden, as recommended, put a slice of lemon, and then Blue Moon, where for maximum enjoyment they recommend a slice of orange on the edge of the glass, so that all the tropical aromas can be felt as well as possible.
I like both Hoegarden and Blue moon, but not for the combination, and certainly not for adding lemon and orange to the rim of the glass.

I will continue to drink them, whenever I have the chance, but only Huegarden, one after the other or Blue moon, one after the other.
And when I'm craving tropical scents and aromas, I'll pour a glass of IPA, double or triple hopped.
Cheers! I already tasted both, and they're good wheat beers!
Cheers 🍻
I've had them many times before, and this is the first time I've had them both (one after the other) with a slice of lemon and orange.
Yeah. I never compare them in one post. !BEER

BEER.I had the opportunity to taste both types of beers. I perceived the flavors and aromas similarly to you. And just like you, I wouldn't put citrus slices on my glass :-)
Cheers!
CheerCheers!
I succumbed to recommendations from some portals, and destroyed one lemon and one orange for a slice.
And both beers 🙂
I won't never again 🙂
:-)
I would risk a piece of chocolate at most for a Stout or Porter :-)
