Beersaturday in the middle of the work week

Sometimes you can't wait for Saturday to drink beer.
Real beer drinkers, they drink beer on all occasions.

So I also, meeting with friends in a local pub, with a quality and plentiful lunch, took the opportunity to drink a little more beer that I now want to present to you in #beersaturday

Blue Moon - Belgian White is one of the most famous wheat beers in the world.
Inspired by Belgian tradition, Blue moon beer was created by Keith Villa, a brewer with a PhD in brewing in Belgium and brewed since 1995 at Blue Moon Brewing Co in the USA.
The interesting thing is that this beer was first brewed in the mini-brewery The sandlot, at the Coors Field baseball stadium in Denver, Colorado.
It was originally called "Bellyslide Wit".

Today, it's beer that looks and tastes like craft, and it's brewed in an industrial corporation.

In this way of mass production, this beer became available to the masses and an excellent beer for discovering the craft scene, for all those who are fans of lager.

It is mild enough, and because of the spices it has, interestingly, like a real craft beer.

This is a Witbier (Belgian white wheat beer) with 5.4% alcohol and very low bitterness, only about 9 IBU (so the bitterness of the hops is not felt).
The composition of this beer includes: Water, barley malt, wheat, oats, hops, yeast, and the key additions are orange peel (Valencia) and coriander.

The Valencia orange variety, the peel of which is used in the preparation of this beer, gives the beer its flavor
sweet taste, adapted to American beer drinkers who drank sweet Coca Cola en masse in those years.
The main "rival" of this beer is Hoegaarden, which has bitter Curacao orange peel in its composition.

The beer is cloudy, golden-orange in color. It is unfiltered and has a natural yeast lees.
The foam is thick, white and creamy and stays well.
The taste is slightly sweet (due to the sweet orange used in the preparation), with clear notes of citrus. Oats (which is the secret ingredient in this beer) give it a specific smooth and creamy texture on the tongue.
As for the aroma, the smell of orange and tones of coriander dominate.

Served in a tall glass that expands to the top (Weizen glass), in order to release the aromas while drinking, the waiter made only one mistake, he did not put an orange slice on the edge of the glass, which is an indispensable part that completes the aroma when drinking (since this beer does not contain a lot of hops that would give it tropical notes, the smell of orange would blend nicely with the sweet taste of orange on the tongue).

Although Blue Moon is recommended with seafood, grilled chicken and Asian cuisine, I drank two glasses of draft beer before a hearty meat meal, and when the spiciness of the flavored chicken wings hit my palate, it was nice to be refreshed with a third, smaller glass of this very pleasant and tasty beer.

I don't drink alcohol much and very rarely during the week...but that food looks bloody awesome!

I joined my partner's company, so I ordered more than I should have, so we wouldn't miss it 🙂 BBQ ribs, sausage with cheese, chicken wings with hot pepper, chicken wings with honey and pepper, mozzarella cheese balls and two types of potatoes. too strong 🙂 Because of such strong food yesterday, I skipped breakfast this morning.

Only now can I have a bite, not to drink another coffee on an empty stomach 😀

The cilantro caught my attention—how strange, and risky at the same time. I have no doubt that the flavor leaves a good taste in your mouth. I agree with you, a beer goes down well any day of the week, but obviously on Saturdays you're more relaxed, ha ha ha. By the way, I couldn't help wanting to try that food, God! It looks divine.

I hope the master brewers know how to use it.
I didn't feel threatened 🙂

Even after the third glass, the delicious and spicy food did not let the alcohol from this very drinkable beer affect me 😁
