The little wooden cart glides silently across the cold floor, setting off on Monday, but it is not its shape that catches the eye most, but rather the shadow that accompanies it on its journey. The shadow is cast softly onto the tiles, causing it to stretch out, yet at the same time it warps, as if it had a life of its own or as if it wanted to race against the wooden cart. La sombra es proyectada con suavidad sobre las baldosas, logrando así que la sombra se estire, pero al mismo tiempo se deforma, como si tuviera vida propia o como si quisiera competir con el carro de madera. Mientras el objeto permanece firme, sólido, compacto y definido, su silueta oscura se vuelve más larga, más difusa, casi incierta y que puede aparecer y desaparecer cuando quiere.

La luz recae sobre el carro de madera con mucha delicadeza y hace que el brillo del barniz resalta los bordes del juguete, pero al mismo tiempo empuja su reflejo hacia un territorio que no tiene nombre ni punto. Además, en ese efecto de la luz hace que la sombra no replica fielmente cada detalle; sino que exagera y transforma. Las ruedas se funden en una forma continua, el techo parece más amplio, y el cuerpo pierde sus texturas para convertirse en una mancha uniforme, que solo llama la atención.

En ese juego entre luz y oscuridad, la sombra deja de ser un simple acompañamiento y se convierte en protagonista, ya que pareciera haber dos carros de juguete que están a punto de partir. Ese es un efecto visual que tiene movimiento, profundidad y misterio, recordándonos que incluso los objetos más simples pueden proyectar una presencia distinta, casi imaginaria, cuando la luz decide contar otra versión de ellos.
