The most terrifying holiday tradition my family has, is probably one of the best moment we had back in the days. We're the Presbyterians, Christmas tradition seems like one of the most major holiday other than Easter and Chinese lunar New year celebration.

Every year end, mom will start shouting and throwing things. I can almost named each and every year how those house cleaning ended up with a major disappointmets. One of those year is my beloved BMX, another was the replacement LeRun Mountain Bike, a stack of Penthouse magazines 😂 oh that year no argument, I don't even dare to ask if mom took it out for the recyler.

Usually, church Christmas carolling started from 22nd 3 days before the Christmas day. Our house is destined to be the last, because... Welp, save the best for last. This we usually spend long hours cooking, buying stuff, moving furniture in the house, so we can accommodate like a tour bus of choir team, by the time they finishes 20 houses, they will reached our house by 11pm. Towards the late 90s, church member increases, houses that demanded the church choir shot up to 30 houses a night. Despite shortening each houses Christmas carol time, by the time they finishes 29 houses, they will reach out house by 12am already. Nevertheless, it's a fond memory I have.

What came next is, after the choir team left. That will usually leave us deal with the aftermath for hours, and the next day 23rd, we're still required to go back and work.

So yeah, we never do Christmas holiday travels before, and probably will not happen in the future as well.
