The ancient water mill

A long time ago,the villagers once believed that the mill has a way of communicating with them.According the oldest people in the village, they said it chooses it's servant.
Adaku has heard this and saw it as myth just as like most of the villagers.

One day,she set out to pluck some herbs close to the mill when she heard soft whispering,she turned around but she saw no body, goosebumps ran over her,she quickly made haste to leave when she heard her name "Adaku" it was coming from the mill she wanted to run but on the second thought she calmy went towards the mill placing her both palms on the cool flow.
The whispering was now loud and clear,After a while the whispering stopped.Adaku was breathing fast but calmy,she got up took her basket and left.
The next day she told everyone her encounter.they didn't believe her until calamity started to befall on the village,From that day on,adaku became the mill communicator.
What i see
A water channel moving steadily through a wooden chute and then a waterfall.

What I feel
A peaceful feeling, it's a kind of place where nature and manmade craft conjures.
