Tender love

When i was younger, i once had crush on a girl who was older than me back then in my primary school. Her name is chidera, i was so into her that i always love to stare at her, the way she carries herself, her composure and everything made to keep falling for her.

Back those days, we had no phones so trying to communicate to girl we would write love letters and give to someone to deliver it.

After some trying, she agreed apart from she was good looking, average, fair and always had a low cut. she was very intelligent and would help teach me diffcult topics
Infact our love became inseparable, playing together, catching moments together.

But everything changed after our common entrance,she left for a boarding school. I was heartbroken as i could not hold back my tears, even as i resumed the next term i had hopes to see her again but none came.
So, i finally gave and got tired and gave up on my fate she would come back.

Fast forward to ten years we had our class reunion, when i saw someone who called out to me, I looked at the fair chubby girl but couldn't recognize her. It was when she properly introduced herself to me, i was frozen instantly, i couldn't speak for a moment, it was her voice that Called me back.

We spent hours reflecting on childhood love, giggling and laughing. When it was time to go we exchange contact and left for our various destinations.

I felt real love is the one at childhood, someone who genuinely, no glk, no house, no iphone 😅 just two innocent kids in love.

Even till today, the memories of us walking through
the school field, playing after school hours, sharing our belongings floods my head.
I still believe there's someone who can love exactly like chidera.
