Marry My Husband/ contest #32

The first Korean drama I watched in 2026 was Nae Nampyeongwa Gyeolhonhaejweo which is the original name of marry my husband, the movie came out in 2024. It was created by Seong So Jak. I watched this movie on 3rd of January 2026. This movie is one of those k-drama that will hook you up even though you felt not interested at the beginning. When I started watching it, I planned to watch only episode one. Boom I got myself in episode five. The movie is full of dramatic and pains. Although I learnt a lot from it.

The storyline talks about a woman Kang Ji-won. She is good and focus most of her life doing good to people. Kang Ji-won is very quiet and she easily forgive those who doesn't deserve to be forgiven. Some people intentionally offend her. Kang Ji-won husband always takes her for granted and treats her as a nobody. Watching her life fall apart feels heavy. Then comes the twist—she dies and wakes up ten years in the past. Just like that, she gets a reset button.

This time, Ji-won decides she’s done suffering. No more silence. No more putting herself last. What I liked most is that she doesn’t suddenly turn into a fearless boss overnight. She still hesitates. She still gets scared. But she keeps moving forward anyway. That slow change makes her feel real, like someone you might actually know.

The revenge part? Very satisfying. Not loud or messy. Just calm, smart moves. She calmly allow people to enter the problem they once wanted her to be. It seems like watching karma turn against people who wanted her to get into trouble. They now fall victim of the trouble.

The romance is soft and comforting. Yoo Ji-hyuk isn’t flashy or dramatic. He’s just there. Steady. Supportive. He listens. And compared to Ji-won’s awful husband, the difference is night and day. As time goes on, their relationship became must stronger and closer. It increases the trust they have for each other.

The message behind the storyline was a very nice and warning message to us. It clearly narrate to us how we may collapse if we continue to endure toxic relationship with people. Most time you're expected to choose yourself over others, it doesn't mean we're selfish, but we're just trying to survive.

I will rate the movie marry my husband 8.0/10 is a nice Korean movie that will teach you about survival and love.
