My gift beyond the material and the positive side of the festive season | Mi regalo más allá de lo material y el lado positivo de la temporada festiva LOH #267

In English
Greetings, friends of the #LadiesofHive community. With this week's edition, where we are invited to reflect on the questions posed by our dear @elizabethbit, I would like to share my thoughts with you:
1. If you could give a gift that had great potential to do good this holiday season, what would it be, who would you give it to, and why?
I think any time is a good time to give gifts, especially given the situation in our country. As a Venezuelan, I don't want to stress myself out if I can't buy the gifts I would like to give at Christmas.
In my life, I have learned to be a good person and generous to those around me. I don't feel obliged to buy gifts, because they already know that I give gifts all year round. That's why, in these difficult times, I allow myself to hand over these concerns to our Creator.
In particular, when thinking about a gift to give this holiday season, beyond material things, it would be to give happiness because I am sure that by giving it, it will return to me, with enthusiasm and joy that is also contagious, to make Christmas its true meaning, the birth of Jesus, giving affection, love, understanding, and respect.
I invite those who also want to offer forgiveness to those who have offended us or ask for forgiveness from those we have hurt, with the certainty that it is not a feeling, but a decision that heals the soul. Forgiving does not change what happened, but it does change what follows and frees us to see the future without the chains of resentment.
I believe that on Christmas Eve, our baby Jesus is the one celebrating his birthday, who has come to tell us that we can be happy, that our lives have meaning, to heal our wounds, and to be part of our lives, that we can enjoy them, that our celebration should be beautiful and peaceful, and not turn these dates into thinking or feeling that they are only for contributing to the marketing or business of Christmas.
The most important thing is to be together with our families and enjoy a true celebration in peace.

2. What do you most enjoy during the holidays and why?
What I love most about this time of year is joining in with the positive side of the festivities and trying to be happy, generous and kind, allowing myself to relax a little and enjoy the company of my family and friends.
These Christmas days bring me a mixture of conflicting feelings. On the one hand, there is the excitement of a season that awakens in me the most beautiful desires to share and give the best of myself, both materially and emotionally, with my family and friends. It is an intoxicating and beautiful feeling that fills me with love to the core.
But for those of us who have lost a loved one, Christmas also brings a mixture of feelings of joy, sadness and nostalgia. It is a feeling that, although it can be overcome, causes pain, a few tears mixed with smiles.
So every time I think about the things that haven't turned out the way I wanted them to, I search my mind for memories of something beautiful so that my problems don't weigh so heavily on me. I think about every person who made me happy during that time we shared, with images and words that do me good to remember. I can look for them, and if they're not there, it's because they're in my heart, and that's where I can find them.
Of course, I feel sad, but it's also true that if I decide to put on my best attitude to make everything different, for example, by making myself look pretty, doing my hair, buying myself a new perfume, with a smile that makes me look beautiful, the important thing is to enjoy the joy of the magic of Christmas with those around me.
Christmas is a time of celebration when most of us give ourselves permission to be happy. At Christmas, we encourage each other to dream and laugh; we allow ourselves to forget our problems, and some of us even take it as a time to relax and reflect.
At family dinner with my loved ones, I love to raise my glass to toast the wishes my heart desires, remembering that miracles always happen at Christmas. To all of you, my friends who read this, I wish you a Merry Christmas in advance!

Being positive-happiness, joy, is some of the best gifts because they are contagious! I know that negativity begets negativity; I've experienced that when someone is negative all the time! I find myself heading down that same bunny trail! Spreading joy and happiness is so much better!
Having family near and remembering those not of this world, is a lovely way to celebrate Jesus' birth! Thank you for sharing and have a lovely day! !LADY

That's right, it's better to spread joy and happiness to those around us with enthusiasm, as well as to remember with gratitude those who are no longer with us.

Thank you very much @ladiesofhive
I live that aspect of forgiveness.
I think it's one of the best gifts we can give ourselves. More especially with the celebration of the birth of Christ and what i6t significance.
It doesn't portray us as weaklings but frees us from the past and open us for great futuristic opportunities.
The aspect of being a giver always is a great aspect of you.
It truly shows kindness and a supportive virtue.
Please keep it up.

We need plenty of your type to make this world a better place.
Celebrating the birth of Christ brings out the best in each of us, and forgiveness is a reflection of that.
Thank you very much for your perception of me, for your visit, and for your kind comment. Have a nice day,

You are correct. But you know that some people are still battling with unforgiveness and how to forgive.
Foegiveness is a great virtue and it's priceless.
Do have a great day.
Oh, I agree. Christmas is the celebration of God's free gift of eternal life through Jesus Christ predicated by the forgiveness of our sins by his grace the moment we repent by his precious name.
