LOH Contest #247: A passion discovered [ENG/ESP]
Greetings to everyone in the Ladies of Hice community! Today I'm joining here to participate in contest #247, with this entry. I'll leave the contest link at the end of the post for anyone who wants to participate. That said, I'll be answering the first question this time. Let's get started.
Comencemos.
What is your most recent favorite activity?
I've always loved everything related to the arts. In fact, I had studied the arts (fine arts) and also education (my Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts Education) because those two areas were considered my strong suit. It's something I fought hard for, and to this day, those remain two of my interests. The only thing is that, for various reasons, I was never able to pursue my profession. However, although I couldn't find a job for what I had prepared for, one day I decided to offer to help my mother-in-law (who is a dentist) in her office. She had lost her assistant and needed someone to fill the position, so I accepted. That was the beginning of my fascination with dentistry.
At first, she taught me about all the tasks a Dental Assistant performs. I immediately felt a lot of interest because even though the areas I'd always handled weren't related to healthcare, they were related to service, and I was very good at that. Caring for doctors and patients is something I began to really enjoy. So, I took her recommendation to study the profession into account. And so, I spent some time between school and work, taking everything I could to meet the requirements. Today, being a Dental Assistant is something I truly enjoy and something I never expected to practice in my life. So, in one way or another, not having entered my profession made me discover a side of myself I didn't know about. I want to learn more about medicine, every corner of the profession. I'll soon be celebrating a year since I started this adventure. I love giving my best every day in the office, and it's truly satisfying to see every patient leave healthy and happy. I think that's worth a lot. Without further ado, thank you so much for stopping by. A big hug.

Greetings 🤗 that's right, totally true. I was very surprised to see that sometimes stopping insisting on something and looking for other options, yes it can pay off. Sometimes you just have to let go. Thanks for the support.
Wow
It could be hectic trying to manage the work and school together.
But I must say you are really doing great.

I didn’t see that coming, from an artist to a dentist and soon a doctor. Amazing.
We learn something new about ourselves everyday. I had a switch like that too, I studied microbiology and now I sell Jewelries because I fell in love with them
Greetings 🤗 wow, thank you for your words. We have a similar story and it's totally true what you say: every day we discover something new about ourselves. A big hug, thank you.
