It's been a really long time since I participated in one of these contests, but this week's questionnaire questions really caught my attention because they brought back beautiful memories that I treasure in my heart.
De verdad que hace muchísimo tiempo que yo no participaba en uno de estos concursos, pero las preguntas del cuestionario de esta semana llamaron mucho mi atención porque me hicieron revivir recuerdos bellísimos que atesoro en mi corazón.
What's the dumbest thing someone has ever tried to do to win you over?
¿Cuál es la cosa más tonta que alguien ha intentado para conquistarte?
Hahaha, this question made me laugh so much 🤣 and took me back to my teenage years when I was in high school. I remember there was a boy who liked me, and to try to win me over, he gave me a picture of himself with a dedication containing a poem with a ridiculous rhyme that also infuriated me (teenage stuff 😄). But I warn you that the rhyme only works in Spanish. It was something like: "I love you, I adore you, you are the cow and I am the bull." Maybe he meant that we were "destined" for each other, but I took it as an insult, associating the word "cow" with "fat," and I was actually very skinny at that time.
Jajaja esta pregunta me hizo reír mucho y me remontó a mis años de adolescencia cuando yo estaba en la secundaria, recuerdo que había un chico al que yo le gustaba, y para intentar conquistarme me regaló una foto suya con una dedicatoria con un poema con una rima ridícula que además me enfureció (cosas de adolescentes 😄) pero les advierto que la rima solo funciona en español, era algo así: "Te quiero, te adoro, tú eres la vaca y yo soy el toro" a lo mejor él quería decir que estábamos "destinados" el uno para el otro, pero yo lo tomé como una ofensa, asociando la palabra "vaca" con "gorda" y yo en realidad era muy flaca en esa época.
If you could travel through time, would you go to the future or the past?
Si pudieras viajar en el tiempo, ¿irías al futuro o al pasado?
Without a doubt, I would tell you that I would be delighted to travel back in time, to be a child again, because my childhood was, thank God, truly very happy. We had some hardships and difficult times, but we always had a roof over our heads, food on the table, a warm bed at night, and an education. When I was a child, I also had no shortage of fun. Watching my favorite shows on television, playing outside, or picking mangoes with my sisters were the activities I enjoyed most. Other times, I would climb trees and challenge myself by climbing the highest ones. If I were to be born again and could choose, I would undoubtedly choose the same parents and siblings that God gave me because they were the best anyone could have, and I am extremely grateful to God for that, for my happy childhood, for the lessons I learned, for the advice I received, and for the experiences I had.
Sin siquiera dudarlo yo les diría que estaría encantada de viajar al pasado, ser niña otra vez, porque mi infancia fue, gracias a Dios, realmente muy feliz, tuvimos algunas carencias y eventos difíciles, pero siempre tuvimos un techo sobre nuestras cabezas, un plato de comida en la mesa, una cama cálida por las noches además de educación. Cuando yo era niña tampoco me faltó la diversión, ver programas favoritos en la televisión, salir a jugar a la calle o ir a recoger mangos con mis hermanas eran las actividades que más me gustaban, otras veces me subía a los árboles y me retaba a mí misma subiendo a los de más difícil acceso. Si yo volviera a nacer y pudiera elegir, indudablemente elegiría a los mismos padres y a los mismos hermanos que Dios me dio porque fueron los mejores que alguien podría tener y estoy sumamente agradecida con Dios por ello, por mi infancia feliz, por los aprendizajes obtenidos, por los consejos recibidos y las vivencias que tuve.
