I Will Always Admire CyberSecurity Personnels #283

Hobby Crush: Most of us have hobbies we spend little or more time doing, but there are hobbies we admire that others do. What is that one hobby you wish you could do for fun, too, and why can't you adopt it for your free time?

Hello, gentlemen and #ladiesofhive, Happy Easter celebrations and a new week. Talking about Hobby crushing, I am a great admirer of good things. I have hobbies I crush on, I also love being around our IT gurus and joining them during my extra time, but I would like to write about the most recent one. In my first few months on Hive blockchain, something led me to the Discord channel where I started making great connections.

Julio Lopez
While there, I encountered a challenge that I needed help to resolve. Waiting for feedback, one of the scammers shared a link I nearly clicked if not for the intervention of one of the sagacious ladies of Hive that saved me that day. That moment led me to start nursing the ambition of becoming a cybersecurity warlord. Though becoming one is demanding and needs a lot of time to be up and doing. Till then, the ambitions lie inside of me.

Recently, our IT personnel met with me and requested that I minute on his training allowance for cybersecurity with one of the big four consulting firms around my state of origin. I was quiet for some time, and he became curious about that. I explained to him my Discord experience and how I felt acquiring that knowledge would be an asset to me. He acknowledged that fact and encouraged me to brace up and start with basic training of some IT programs. He pledged to share some with me.

However, there are reasons why I have not really pursued that ambition. First, timing, my calendar is filled with activities, loading it with more will overstretch me and might lead to a breakdown. Again, I have also exhausted my monthly budget. The last time I checked in with some consulting firms, the fee was around $300 for an entry-level; meanwhile, I have already booked data analytics with my training allowance.

Nevertheless, I have not given up on acquiring cybersecurity training. Right now, I admire and share my experience on the Discord channel with my colleagues and friends, and chit-chat with some cybersecurity warlords around me. Visit websites, read some facts, and get clues on how to stay safe on sites.

Additionally, I have learnt a lot from my conversations with the sagacious ladies of Hive who saved me and assisted in my account recovery a few weeks ago when I had an experience on the blockchain. That experience also raised my ambition to get cybersecurity training.

Though it seems I’m dreaming, just as the saying goes, “from my mouth to God's ears”. Like a joke, that dream shall come through very soon.

From my knowledge on what cybersecurity is, I've never imagined anyone would see the skill as a hobby to have. But it's a good skill that would bring in earnings, even if you do it for fun.
