Shadow Hunters SMASh Contest - Round #423 Xenomorphic Shadows! [Eng/Esp]

How are you friends from Shadow Hunters! Welcome to my entry in this week's SMASH contest! I was really looking forward to the weekend because tomorrow, April 26th, is the official Alien Day or Xenomorph Day. For all of us who, like me, are fans of the Alien Saga, April 26th (4/26) commemorates the day the Nostromo landed on the moon LV-426 and made contact with the xenomorphic life form—hence the 4/26 reference. It's been 47 years since this influential science fiction work was released, and I couldn't pass up the opportunity to create something themed for this SMASH contest in its round #423.
I've already shown in previous posts the extent of my fandom for this saga; my xenomorph nest is under construction. It's not easy to find collectible figures in Venezuela, but I have a few good ones, including two Queens. So I decided to create striking shadows with my collectible figures. I started with two shadows depicting a Colonial Marine facing two variants of Xenomorph. The one on the left is a Xenomorph that hatches from a human, hence its bipedal stance. The shadow on the right is against a Xenomorph that hatches from a dog, hence its four-legged movement, but that only makes it more dangerous and savage!

My favorite shadow was that of the Alien Queen! This creature, the apex of the Xenomorph hive, is in charge of leading the legions of Xenomorphs who know nothing of dialogue or persuasion. They have only one order: to obliterate all surrounding life and, in the best-case scenario, capture their victims and turn them into vessels for new Xenomorphs that will serve the expansion of the hive. Her shadow is imposing and projects precisely that: the horror of an unknown cosmic force. I didn't want to close this shadow session without a very special one, a confrontation every fan of this saga longs to see: the shadow of a Xenomorph facing off against a Predator or Yautja! I wanted to use my favorite Yautja, the one who wears a Xenomorph head as a trophy! The difference between these two species is so diametrically opposed that it's precisely why it generates so much excitement. Xenomorphs serve only their queen and the expansion of the hive, eliminating all surrounding life forms and parasitizing them to create new individuals. On the other hand, there are the Yautja, who don't think about empires, but rather the glory of fighting the ultimate prey, and they see in the Xenomorphs precisely the ideal opponent.
Well, friends, with this I conclude my contribution to the SMASH contest. I hope you enjoyed these Xenomorph shadows in commemoration of what will be Alien Day tomorrow. Que tal amigos de Shadow Hunters! Bienvenidos a mi participación en el concurso SMASH de esta semana! Tenía muchas ganas de que llegara el fin de semana y es que mañana será 26 de abril el día oficial del Alien Day o Xenomorph Day. Para todos aquellos que como yo, somos fanaticos de la Saga Alien, el 26 de abril (4/26) celebramos el día en que la Nostromo desciende sobre la luna LV-426 y entra en contacto con la forma de vida xenomórfica, de allí la referencia de 4/26. Ya son 47 años de esta influyente obra de ciencia ficción y no podía dejar pasar la oportunidad de hacer algo temático para este concurso SMASH en su round #423.
Ya he mostrado en publicaciones anteriores hasta donde es capaz de llegar mi fanatismo por esta saga, mi nido de xenomorfos está en plena construcción, no es fácil conseguir las figuras de colección en Venezuela, pero tengo unas cuantas buenas figuras, entre ellas 2 Reinas. Así que decidí crear sombras destacadas con mis figuras de colección, comencé con 2 sombras donde aparece un colonial marine enfrentando 2 variantes de xenomorfo, el de la izquierda es un xenomorfo que eclosiona de un humano por eso su posición bípeda y la sombra de la derecha es contra un xenomorfo que eclosiona de un perro y por eso se desplaza en 4 patas, pero eso solo lo hace más peligroso y salvaje!

Mi sombra favorita fue el de la reina Alien! Esta criatura, el tope de la colmena xenomórfica y encargada de dirigir las legiones de xenomórfos que no conocen de diálogo o persuasión, sólo tienen una orden: obliterar toda forma de vida circundante y en el mejor de los casos capturar a sus víctimas y convertirlos en recipientes para nuevos xenomórfos que servirán a la expansión de la colmena. Su sombra es imponente y proyecta precisamente eso, el horror de una fuerza cósmica desconocida. No quería cerrar esta sesión de sombras con una muy especial, un enfrentamiento que todo fanático de esta saga desea ver: la sombra de un xenomorfo enfrentado a un predator o yautja! Quise utilizar mi yautja favorito el que ostenta una cabeza de xenomorfo como trofeo! La diferencia entre estas 2 especies en tan diametralmente extrema que es la razón por la que causa tanto entusiasmo, los xenomorfos solo sirven a su reina y la expansión de la colmena eliminando toda forma de vida circundante, parasitándola para crear nuevos individuos. Y por el otro lado están los Yautjas que no piensan en imperios, sino en la gloría que ofrece el luchar contra la presa definitiva y ven en los xenomorfos precisamente el oponente ideal.
Bien amigos, con esto dejo mi aporte al concurso SMASH, espero que te haya gustado estas sombras xenomórficas en conmemoración de lo que será el Alien Day mañana. Yo estaré en un maratón de películas de la Saga, particularmente la 3 primeras que son mis favoritas y quizás terminé haciéndoles una reseña mañana. Nos vemos la próxima semana. Saludos!
