My entry in the Shadow Hunters SMASh Contest - Round #401: An unusual shadow [Eng/Esp]
Hello again, friends of Shadow Hunters! Wishing you all the best and success in these first days of the week, today I'm sharing my first contribution, my first step towards Shadow Hunters' 500th issue! They say that for any endeavor, no matter how uphill it may be, the most important thing to know is how to convince yourself to take the first step. And with this Smash post in the round #401 I'm giving it my all.
I started this week as usual with university activities very early, so I took advantage of the day by taking my mother to the ophthalmologist to get a new prescription for her glasses. She was seen quickly, and while they were doing the tests, I went shadow hunting with my camera. And there I found this very unusual shadow. I was in the waiting room of the doctor's office, which is on the terrace, so the rays of a radiant morning sun were coming in through the balcony, creating this shadow. But what I found unusual was seeing a grill there!

Even so, I found it interesting how the thin shadow of one of the grill's legs broke the symmetry of the shadow pattern that was being created, since the shadow of the grill bars was at a perfect right angle! Capturing a shadow like this has been difficult because normally, at that time of day, they tend to have a certain tilt. And although I took this photograph at 10 am, you can't see any tilt in the shadow, but the presence of the grill and its tilted shadow interrupted the pattern. Well, I suppose introducing a little chaos into the system isn't so bad. Then I took more pictures of the shadow, this time of the folded gate. Because it wasn't completely folded, it created an angled shadow that also broke the pattern. Furthermore, since the bars weren't perfectly aligned, their shadows were thicker and thinner. The effect they created made these shadows worth capturing. My mother came out shortly after, and we went to have breakfast, but I was left wondering, "What on earth was that grill doing there?"

Hola de nuevo amigos de Shadow Hunters! Deseándoles a todos mis mejores deseos de éxito en estos primeros días de la semana, hoy vengo a compartirles mi primer aporte, mi primer paso hacia la edición 500 de Shadow Hunters! Dicen que para cualquier empresa no importa lo cuesta arriba que sea, lo más importante que debes conocer, es convencerte de dar el primer paso. Y con esta publicación Smash en el round #401 lo estoy dando.
Comencé esta semana como siempre con las actividades de la universidad muy temprano así que aproveche el día llevando a mi madre al oftalmólogo para que le hicieran una nueva fórmula para sus lentes. La atendieron rápidamente y mientras le hacían los exámenes, fui a cazar sombras con mi cámara. Y alli encontré esta sombra muy inusual pues estaba en la sala de espera del consultorio que esta en la terraza así que los rayos de un sol mañanero radiante entraba por el balcón generando esta sombra pero lo que me pareció inusual fue ver una parrillera en aquel lugar!

Aún asi me pareció interesante como la fina sombra de una de las patas de la parrillera rompía la simetría del patrón de sombras que se estaba generando, ya que la sombra de los barrotes estaban en perfecto ángulo recto! Conseguir una sombra así me a costado mucho porque normalmente por la hora del día suelen tener cierta inclinación y aunque tomé esta fotografía a las 10 am no se nota inclinación alguna en la sombra, pero la presencia de la parrillera y su sombra que si estaba inclinada interrumpió el patrón generado, bueno supongo que introducir algo de caos al sistema no esta mal. Luego tomé otras fotografías de la sombra, esta vez de la puerta de esta reja plegada, al no plegarse completamente, genera una sombra en ángulo que también rompe el patrón pero además los barrotes al no quedar completamente alineadas unas con otras, se observan como sus sombras son más gruesas y otras más delgadas. Fueron sombras que por el efecto que generaron me pareció que valía la pena capturarlas, mi madre salió poco después y nos fuimos a desayunar, pero al final me dejó intrigado la duda ¿Qué diablos hacía esa parrillera alli?
Bien amigos hasta aquí mi participación en el Smash de esta semana, ya estoy convirtiendo en un hábito el ir cazando sombras por ahí, aunque últimamente estoy siendo muy exigentes con las sombras que uso para los post, trataré de ser un poco más minimalista y encontrar la belleza en aquellas sombras que no parecen tener una gran trascendencia pero su belleza radique en los pequeños detalles.
