My entry in the Shadow Hunters SMASh Contest - Round #393: Hunting shadows on the way to the city center [Eng/Esp]
Hello dear Shadow Hunters community! The September days are finally coming to an end, and so is my vacation, so I'm taking advantage of these last few days to do some shopping while enjoying the city views. When I need to do my shopping for cleaning products, sauces, or beer, I do it at shopping malls, but when it comes to chicken, meat, dressings, or coffee, I like to visit the small merchants in downtown Caracas. It was there while I was putting away the bags that I came across this great moment involving a shadow and that I wanted to share with you in this Smash round #393.
In previous posts, I've commented on this perpetual struggle between urbanity and nature in my city, and I think this photograph captures it quite well. Right on the avenue, we can see vendors selling vegetables, fruits, and bananas seeking refuge in the natural shade created by this large tree, which, like an imperturbable giant, bears witness to the daily life of Caracas' streets.

As you can see, the days are extremely hot, even during the rainy season, so going shopping in the city center can be quite exhausting. But our tree friends are always there to provide shade and relieve the strain of hot days. Like the shade provided by this tree, there are many on the sidewalks and intersections of Caracas's historic center, where these gentle giants create these natural shelters, these broad shadows that soothe us and help us navigate our daily lives.
Well, friends, this was my participation in this week's Smash of the transition from September to October. Let's hope the following month brings us good luck, a month of important achievements, and interesting thoughts to share. Best regards.

Hola apreciada comunidad de Shadow Hunters! Los días de septiembre finalmente están llegando a su fin y también mis vacaciones, así que estoy aprovechando estos últimos días para hacer las compras de la casa, mientras disfruto de los paisajes de la ciudad. Cuando tengo que hacer las compras de la casa como productos de limpieza, salsas o cervezas lo hago en centros comerciales, pero cuando se trata de pollo, carne, aliños, o café me gusta venir a los pequeños mercaderes del centro de Caracas. Fue alli mientras guardaba las bolsas que me encontré este genial momento que involucra una sombra y que he querido compartir con ustedes en este Smash round #393.
En publicaciones anteriores he comentado esa lucha perpetua entre la urbanidad y la naturaleza en mi ciudad y creo que esta fotografía lo plasma bastante bien. En plena avenida podemos ver como vendedores de verduras, frutas y plátanos buscan refugio en la sombra que de forma natural genera este gran árbol que como gigante imperturbable atestigua el día a día de las calles de Caracas.

Como pueden ver los días son en extremo calurosos inclusive en estos días de temporada lluviosa, por lo que salir a comprar al centro de la ciudad llega a ser una actividad bastante desgastante. Pero siempre están nuestros amigos arbóreos para brindarnos sombras y aliviar un poco el asedio de los días calurosos. Como la sombra que genera este árbol hay muchos en las aceras y cruces del casco histórico de Caracas donde estos amables gigantes generan estos refugios naturales, estas amplias sombras que nos alivian y nos ayudan a llevar el día a día.
Y bien amigos, esta fue mi participación en el Smash de esta semana de transición de septiembre a octubre, esperemos que el mes siguiente nos traiga buena suerte, que sea de logros importantes y que también nos traiga sombras interesantes que compartir. Saludos.
