Interesante pregunta en esta nueva iniciativa: ¿Cómo cambiarías el mundo?/Feliz Año Nuevo! ¡Comienza el primer concurso de enero! 🧭🌍🎉🎇🎄 por eso de una vez me puse a pensar en qué haría yo si tuviera el poder de cambiar el mundo o por lo menos en mi país de manera significativa y al instante llegó a mí la respuesta...

Pienso que los seres humanos somos de costumbres, a veces hasta de rutinas en repetición, como por ejemplo: nos levantamos, vamos al baño, nos cepillamos los dientes, nos aseamos, hacemos nuestras necesidades y, mientras hacemos esto, ya tenemos montado nuestro café; por lo menos esa es una de las rutinas que muchos tenemos, me incluyo, y así como esta, otras tantas más.

Entonces, esto me hace reflexionar en que, si yo quiero cambiar al mundo, en este caso específico, como sería cuidar de nuestro medio ambiente, como autoridad diligente, lo primero que implementaría sería que desde que los niños fuesen pequeños, y lucharía por ello; fuese que desde su más tierna edad se les enseñara la importancia de cuidar nuestro entorno a través de muchos proyectos culturales, propagandas en sus escuelas, ciudades, en sus comunidades. Esto sería de una manera constante, como tomarse un café cada día, porque en la perseverancia está el éxito.

Tanto así, que se convirtiera en una costumbre y fuese algo automático en sus mentes, el actuar en pro del medio ambiente. Se dice que lo que aprendemos de pequeños se queda fijo en nuestras mentes, entonces empezaría por allí. Me enfocaría en emprender programas educativos donde la premisa fuera amar al medio ambiente con todo lo que hay en él, naturaleza, animales, personas, por supuesto respetando los espacios de cada quien.

En un mundo ideal, eso sería lo esperado; pero como sé que estamos en este mundo que perfecto no es, pero que podemos mejorar, me inclinaría a que por lo menos mi país fuera uno de los pioneros en cuanto al cuidado hacia el medio ambiente y quizás provocaría una reacción en cadena en otros países. Porque una cosa sí es segura: a todos nos gustan las maravillas naturales, el mar, las montañas, los campos y ríos; también nos gustan los espacios limpios, agradables.

La cuestión está en que a muchos no les gusta mantener, ni mucho menos hacer o ayudar, porque sencillamente no han tenido esa cultura y no se les ha enseñado desde pequeños, como si fuera la rutina de cepillarse los dientes, a cuidar todo lo que les rodea; creo que sería mucho más sencillo. Muy bien, se dice por allí algo así como "enseña al niño para que no tengas que corregir al hombre" y realmente pienso que esta oración tiene en ella mucha sabiduría y ella aplica para todo, incluso para el medio ambiente.

Sería un trabajo que me daría mucha satisfacción y sé que posiblemente no lo terminaría completamente, pero segura estaría de que habría otros tras de mí siguiendo mi legado. No sería cosa de un año o 10, sería algo para toda la vida, para poder ver algo de ese buen resultado que tendría. Pero como por lo pronto no voy a ser ministra del ambiente, desde hace muchos años empecé por mí y en lo que yo sí puedo decidir, tal como no dejar basura en áreas verdes ni en mi entorno, cuidar de las áreas verdes y naturales, y eso mismo les he enseñado a mis hijos a cuidar, preservar su medio ambiente; ese ha sido mi granito de arena para este mundo.

I think that human beings are creatures of habit, sometimes even of repetitive routines, such as: we get up, go to the bathroom, brush our teeth, wash ourselves, relieve ourselves, and while we do this, we have our coffee ready; at least that is one of the routines that many of us have, myself included, and there are many others like it.

So, this makes me reflect on the fact that if I want to change the world, in this specific case, how to take care of our environment, as a diligent authority, the first thing I would implement would be that from an early age, and I would fight for it, children would be taught the importance of caring for our environment through many cultural projects, advertisements in their schools, cities, and communities. This would be done consistently, like having a cup of coffee every day, because perseverance is the key to success.

So much so that it would become a habit and something automatic in their minds to act in favor of the environment. It is said that what we learn as children stays fixed in our minds, so I would start there. I would focus on undertaking educational programs where the premise would be to love the environment with everything in it, nature, animals, people, of course respecting everyone's space.

In an ideal world, that would be expected, but since I know that we are in a world that is not perfect, but that we can improve, I would be inclined to at least make my country one of the pioneers in caring for the environment, which might cause a chain reaction in other countries. Because one thing is certain: we all love natural wonders, the sea, the mountains, the fields, and rivers; we also like clean, pleasant spaces.

The problem is that many people do not like to maintain, let alone do or help, because they simply have not had that culture and have not been taught from an early age, as if it were as routine as brushing their teeth, to take care of everything around them; I think it would be much easier. All right, there's a saying that goes something like, “Teach the child so you don't have to correct the man,” and I really think that this sentence contains a lot of wisdom and applies to everything, including the environment.

It would be a job that would give me a lot of satisfaction, and I know I probably wouldn't finish it completely, but I would be sure that there would be others after me following my legacy. It wouldn't be a matter of a year or 10, it would be something for a lifetime, to be able to see some of the good results it would have. But since I am not going to be the Minister of the Environment anytime soon, many years ago I started with myself and what I can decide, such as not leaving trash in green areas or in my surroundings, taking care of green and natural areas, and I have taught my children to take care of and preserve their environment; that has been my small contribution to this world.
