Frozen fishing pond; Entry for the Reflection Hunters Contest; My very first blog here; Hi (:

I think that, if I am not mistaken cause some anoying déjà vu is appearing right in the moment, this might be my first blog in Shadow Hunters. But that is not important. I became a member of this community a short while ago and it is the best time to "introduce myself" and share my first catches.
By the way I do not know why I waited so long to join since many of my friends whose blogs I follow and read every day already take part in this very interesting game. 🤗 And the photos... well the photos are from today from our frozen fishing pond.

Today was such a beautiful sunny winter day. Even though we are being warned about upcoming temperatures below zero and down to - 20°C, beautiful sun drew all of us outside. We also had a lot of work preparing meat for the coming year and something we call "duvan čvarci". I honestly have no idea how to translate that properly. Some people call them "pork candies" but the preparation in this area is different so instead of a candy-like shape you get something that looks like tobacco literally tobacco from a cigarette. Anyway it is tricky to explain and even if I knew how to put it into right words it is hard to convey just how incredibly good it is. You simply have to try it! 😊

When there was no particularly important work for me to do, I grabed the time to take a walk to the pond, around the pond, a bit through the woods and meadow. At first I thought the water was simply calm in the usual way since the fish are now in the mud where it is warmer for them. But noo, there was centimeter or two thick ice cover. And then the curious child inside me woke up. I took a longer branch and started breaking the ice all around. Maybe that is even a good thing to do. I am not sure, don't ask. xD

I was amazed with surrounding trees reflecting across the entire surface of water and ice, so I wanted to capture it with my camera as well. Hope I managed to catch the important details. The trapped air beneath the surface, leaves that under the ice looks like small pink flowers and branches that seem to be writing a novel in a language known only to them. And all of it together: - canvas where Mr Nature, a supreme artist and true master of his craft, creates the most beautiful works imaginable! 💙
