What's the Brotherhood?

If you’ve been on Hive for a while, you’ve probably come across The Brotherhood in one way or another. I first discovered it through BroFi posts and the work of @raymondspeaks, the founder. What stood out to me was how this project mixes a strong, active community with real use cases for its tokens.

This year, Raymond has been focused on refining the project’s token ecosystem and building deeper connections between its communities. Instead of rushing into new ventures, he’s been strengthening the foundations, improving utility, encouraging collaboration, and making sure the tokens serve real purposes for members. In the fast world of crypto, that kind of steady, long term thinking is rare.

When people talk about The Brotherhood, they usually mean its group of tokens which are BRO, LEGION (LGN), CINE, and the newest one, GIFU.

BRO – The original and flagship token, It’s built for long-term growth rather than quick hype. The aim is to make it useful and sustainable, not just something that sits in your wallet.

LEGION (LGN) – This is more of a daily utility token. If you stake LGN, you earn Hive payouts every day. It’s a steady reward system that keeps people coming back.

CINE – Linked to the CineTV community, where movie and TV lovers share reviews, opinions, and discussions while earning $CINE tokens.

GIFU – The newest addition, aimed at GIF and meme creators. It runs on Binance Smart Chain but also connects to Hive, making it work across more than one platform.

Out of all these, my personal favorite is CineTV. It’s a Hive community where posting actually feels meaningful. When I write about a movie’s story, acting, or visuals, people reply with their own takes, recommend similar films, or even share their disagreements respectfully.

The rules are clear and fair, your work must be original, you should properly place and indicate your sources, and your reviews should be honest. This keeps the space creative and free from low quality spam. It also feels open and transparent, you can see who the admins are, how many members are posting, and what the trending discussions are.

I especially like how CineTV runs weekly themes, highlights great content, and encourages conversation rather than just silent upvotes. It feels like a true community rather than just a reward system.

GIFU brings something different to the table. Yes, it’s about memes and GIFs, but it also gives creators a token with an actual use case. And because it’s cross chain, it has the potential to bring in people from outside Hive, which could grow the community even more.

I have a few suggestions regarding how The Brotherhood and CineTV could grow even stronger:

  1. Collaborate with other Hive communities; Movies link to gaming, music, art, and more. Cross community events could attract a wider audience of hivers,in return increasing community size.
  1. Mentorship for new members; Pair newcomers with experienced writers to help them create better content and understand the rules. This would help' the community grow at a faster pace.
  1. Token-based fun events; Host movie trivia nights, watch along sessions, or Critics’ Picks posts where the best reviews get extra rewards, it'd really be nice.

In crypto, too many projects fail because they move too fast or chase hype. The Brotherhood is taking the opposite approach, they growing steadily, improving token value through real use cases, and keeping the community at its heart making sure everyone is carried along. From BRO’s long-term vision, to Legion’s steady payouts, to CineTV’s active and friendly discussions, it’s clear they’re building something meant to last.

For me, The Brotherhood is more than just a set of tokens, It’s a group that values community, creativity, and sustainability. Whether you’re interested in finance, movies, or even memes, there’s a place for you here. And with a team that’s willing to adapt and improve, I believe it’s a community worth being part of.

Yes it would. And since that is what community is all about, it would be a great strategy for building it.

Well said, Bhetea.

Just a little observation, we don’t make posts with the Brofi account. I guess that was an oversight.
