Cada libro es un nuevo mundo [ESP/ENG]
Hola, gente de internet ¿Cómo están? hoy quiero compartir con ustedes mi experiencia con los libros, esos que yo llamo "amigos de tinta y papel" sí, porque para mí eso es lo que son, los libros son compañeros de viajes y de tardes de lluviosas, son portales a nuevos mundos que te muestran otros estilos de vida. Algunos solo te entretienen, otros te hacen reír o llorar, algunos llegan hasta el punto de darte verdaderas lecciones de vida.
Hello, internet people! How are you? Today I want to share with you my experience with books, those I call "friends of ink and paper." Yes, because for me that's what they are. Books are travel companions and companions on rainy afternoons; they are portals to new worlds that show you other ways of life. Some simply entertain you, others make you laugh or cry, and some even go so far as to give you true life lessons.
Con respecto a ese libro especial que haya cambiado mi vida... no podría decir que tengo solo uno, amo leer pero no soy fiel a un solo libro o autor, sin embargo si me pidieran mencionar solo uno yo diría Memorias de una Geisha, porque amo la cultura japonesa y de cierta manera este libro me permitió entender acerca de la vida de las Geishas y Maikos, y digo "de cierta manera" porque luego apareció un libro de una verdadera Geisha desmintiendo algunos mitos (lo cual me pareció fascinante también) además, aunque Memorias de una Geisha no sirva como un fiel referente cultural o histórico de Japón, de todos modos amo la determinación de Sayuri (la protagonista) me parece que es admirable y también opino que la narrativa del autor es exquisita.
Regarding that special book that changed my life... I couldn't say I have just one. I love to read, but I'm not loyal to a single book or author. However, if I had to name just one, I would say Memoirs of a Geisha, because I love Japanese culture, and in a way, this book allowed me to understand the lives of Geishas and Maikos. I say "in a way" because later a book by a real Geisha came out debunking some myths (which I also found fascinating). Besides, even though Memoirs of a Geisha isn't a reliable cultural or historical reference for Japan, I still love Sayuri's (the protagonist's) determination. I find it admirable, and I also think the author's writing is exquisite.
No puedo dejar de mencionar El retrato de Dorian gray: es una historia espeluznante pero con mucha profundidad y enseñanzas, nos enseña que el valor no está en la apariencia física sino en lo que cultivas dentro de ti. Oscar Wilde es uno de los íconos de la era victoriana y su narrativa tiene ese toque de misterio y oscuridad que lo hace fascinante.
I cannot fail to mention The Picture of Dorian Gray: It's a chilling story, but one with great depth and valuable lessons. It teaches us that true worth lies not in physical appearance, but in what you cultivate within yourself. Oscar Wilde is one of the icons of the Victorian era, and his narrative possesses that touch of mystery and darkness that makes it so captivating.
¡Ah! pero no puedo dejar de lado Harry Potter: porque me ha acompañado por muchos años (desde mi infancia) Sus personajes son muy bien desarrollados, en especial Tom Riddle/Voldemort, y la creatividad y extensión del mundo mágico me encanta, es simplemente soberbia.
Ah! But I can't leave out Harry Potter: because it has been with me for many years (since my childhood). Its characters are very well developed, especially Tom Riddle/Voldemort, and I love the creativity and extent of the magical world; it's simply superb.
En cuanto a mi genero literario favorito tampoco tengo uno en especifico, amo el Terror, el suspense, y el thriller psicológico. Les recomiendo La asistenta, este libro me mantuvo en vilo todo el tiempo 🤗
As for my favorite literary genre, I don't have a specific one either; I love horror, suspense, and psychological thrillers. I recommend The Assistant; this book kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time! 🤗
Para celebrar el día del libro, si tengo la oportunidad de hacerlo creo que la mejor manera es comprando libros, afortunadamente aquí en Venezuela desde hace tiempo está circulando una aplicación de financiamiento en la que puedes comprar cosas y pagarlas por cuotas y sí, haya muchas librerías afiliadas.
To celebrate Book Day, if I have the opportunity to do so, I think the best way is by buying books. Fortunately, here in Venezuela, a financing app has been circulating for some time now, where you can buy things and pay for them in installments, and yes, there are many affiliated bookstores.
Cuando hay alguna feria de libros aquí en mi ciudad, sin duda mi stand o mis stands preferidos son esos donde estén los géneros que me gustan y que mencioné en párrafos anteriores, o donde haya comics y mangas, auqnue lamentablemente son muy costosos, en una ocasión pregunté por un manda de Naruto y casi me da un infarto al oir el precio 😄
When there's a book fair here in my city, my favorite stand(s) are definitely the ones with the genres I like and mentioned in previous paragraphs, or where there are comics and manga, although unfortunately they're very expensive. Once I asked about a Naruto manga and I almost had a heart attack when I heard the price 😄
No he conocido a ningún autor, pero amaría conocer a J.K Rowling (quién escribió Harry Potter entre otros) y a Stephen King. Ahhhhh eso sería demasiado emocionante. 🤗
I haven't met any authors yet, but I would love to meet J.K. Rowling (who wrote Harry Potter, among other things) and Stephen King. Ahhhhh, that would be so exciting! 🤗...
