MY VIEW ON SELF CARE

Hello everyone, welcome to My Blog today.

When you hear self-care, what comes to mind? Self-care is usually misunderstood as something we only need when we are tired, sick, or overwhelmed. The truth is that the real work of caring for our body and mind happens even in the quiet everyday moments when we feel fine. These happy habits are built over time and help keep us going when life gets hard.

Caring for my body starts with my basic routine: waking up every morning, taking my time washing up, doing my laundry, and then trying to get enough sleep. I try to prioritize getting enough sleep because rest is not a luxury; it is very necessary for a well-functioning body and mind. Clear thinking, better functioning, and handling stress more calmly all come from getting enough rest. I also pay close attention to what I eat - balanced meals, drinking enough water, and staying hydrated. This may seem simple, but it makes a big difference in my overall health.

Making sure to exercise and stay active is another part of my routine. It doesn't have to be intense exercise every day; I tried that once and my body almost gave out. Sometimes, I just take a walk, stretch, or do some light workouts. The goal is to keep my body active and avoid becoming too sedentary, as physical movement not only helps the body but also clears the mind. Sometimes, when people are stressed, they just need to go out and take a walk.

When it comes to my mind, I always try to create peace and happiness. This may require time alone. For me, it's usually listening to music, watching a movie, or just stepping away from all the noise and distractions. I also check in on my emotions - instead of ignoring how I feel, I try to understand and value my emotions. This also helps me navigate stress, happiness, and frustration, ultimately helping me stay balanced.

One thing I also practice is setting boundaries. Not everything or everyone deserves my attention or time. Learning to say no when necessary and protecting my own mental health are key. I make time for things I enjoy, as life shouldn't be too difficult unless we make it so for ourselves. Additionally, I take responsibility when needed. In the end, self-care is not about being selfish; it's about being intentional every day with actions that make life better - resting, eating well, moving my body, and protecting my peace. These things are powerful and keep me strong each day, often without me realizing it, so I practice them daily. Health is well and should be taken care of daily.

Yeah, you won't realize how much all these little actions are saving your body everyday, but I hope you find joy in doing them. That way, you tend to do them even when situations are trying to go against doing some. Keep it up, sis.
