My K-Pop Journey How I Fell in Love With It
I still remember the first time I ever heard K-pop. It was sometime around 2019 or so. I was just browsing through YouTube, looking for random music to listen to, then I saw this colorful video with boys dancing so sharp and clean. The name of the group was BTS. I didn't know them then, but something about the way they performed just caught my eye.
The song playing was "Boy With Luv" and honestly, from that moment, I got hooked. The beat was sweet, their dancing was like wow, and the visuals were just everything. It felt fresh, new, and full of energy. Even though I didn’t understand the language that time, I still felt the emotion in the song. That was the day I fell in love with K-pop.
Since then, K-pop became like my daily escape. Whenever I’m down or even just bored, I put on my earphones and press play on my favorite songs. It lifts my mood immediately. It’s not just about music, K-pop is an experience. The fashion, the dancing, the visuals, the effort they put in everything it shows.

My favorite K-pop singer is Jungkook from BTS. He’s so talented and hardworking. The way he sings, dances, and even how he connects with fans is really beautiful. I admire his voice a lot and how he always tries to do better. He inspire me to work on my own dreams too.
Right now, my favorite K-pop song is "Ditto" by NewJeans. That song just hit different. The vibe is soft, kind of emotional, and it reminds me of so many feelings I can’t even explain well. Sometimes I just close my eyes and let the song carry me. I also love how NewJeans is bringing a fresh sound into the K-pop world. They’re young, creative, and unique.
I think the best part of K-pop for me is how it brings people together. I’ve made friends from other countries just because we love the same groups. We talk about comebacks, share memes, cry together during sad songs, and even support each other in real life things. It’s more than music. It’s like family
Also, K-pop taught me how to appreciate other cultures. Now I’m learning little Korean words, I enjoy Korean food, and I even watch K-dramas sometimes. It opened my mind to a whole new world that I never knew I could be part of.
So that’s my K-pop story. From just watching one random video, I now feel like I’m part of this big, beautiful world of music and love. And I’m not planning to stop anytime soon.
To anyone that has never tried K-pop, I say give it a chance. You might just find something you didn’t even know you needed.
