My Advice to New Users on Hive From One Hivian to Another
When I first joined Hive, I didn’t really understand how things worked here. I just knew it was different from the usual social media platforms. But with time, learning, and connecting with others, Hive started feeling like home.
Now, anytime I see a new user, I just smile because I know how it feels starting fresh. So if you’re new here, welcome! I want to share some advice with you simple things that really helped me when I start
- Be real. Be you.
One thing I’ve learned on Hive is that realness matters. You don’t have to fake or form for anybody here. Just be yourself. Talk about your life, your thoughts, your passions anything you’re comfortable with. People here love original and honest content. Don’t go and copy someone else’s post, it won’t help you in the long run.
Hive is not just for posting, it’s for connecting.**
This is something I wish I understood earlier. Don’t just come, post your content and disappear. Take time to read other people’s posts too. Drop genuine comments, support others, and make friends. Hive is a social blockchain, and that “social” part is very important. The more you interact, the more you growJoin a good community and follow the rules.**
There are many great communities on Hive. Find the ones that match your interest. For example, India United is a great place with supportive people. Before posting, always read the rules of the community. Posting in the wrong place or breaking rules can affect your growth. Take your time and do it right.Be patient, not desperate.**
I know most people come with high hopes of earning fast, and that’s normal. But Hive is not a get rich quick platform. Yes, you can earn, but it takes time, effort, and consistency. Don’t let low rewards in the beginning discourage you. Keep showing up and your work will start to speak for itself.Don’t be afraid to ask for help.**
When you don’t understand something, just ask. Message someone. Drop a question in a community. Hive is full of friendly people, and most are ready to guide you if you’re serious. I’ve been helped many times too.Consistency is key.**
You don’t have to post every day, but try to be active. Stay consistent. Show up often. Post good stuff. Even if you don’t see results immediately, just keep going. You’re planting seeds, and they’ll grow with time.
- Respect the space and enjoy the process.**
This is a global platform with people from different countries and cultures. Be kind, be respectful, and treat Hive like a community, not just a money making site. The more you enjoy the journey, the better your experience will be.
So yes, to every new Hivian reading this take your time, be real, stay humble, and don’t give up. Hive has changed a lot of lives, and yours can be next.
Welcome once again to the family 🫶🏽✨
