Conquerors..... Finish the tale #16.

Just as the hero raised their sword in triumph their pants betrayed them by falling down in front of the entire kingdom.

Loud gasps could be heard throughout the kingdom. Such abomination had never happened before. Women shielded their eyes instantaneously, while also screaming at the children to follow suit.

The men of the Kingdom were brave. They stepped up to form a protective barricade around the soldiers, allowing them a chance to redeem themselves and their pride.

In a bid to dispel the awkwardness of the situation, King Reginald stood up to toast his valiant warriors. They had been gone for three whole years and now finally, they returned victorious from battle against the Northern barbarians.

”There's nothing to see here. Just some old worn out brown underpants that the soldiers have been wearing for years, hahaha” the king bellowed with laughter.

The villagers burst into laughter with the king. The soldiers lightened up, their effortless display of shame lodged at the back of their mind.

They joined the villagers in laughing. The Captain came before the king, bowed and said ”Your Majesty, if you would permit us, we would like to retire to our homes. Some of my men left their families and I'm sure that they would want to be reunited with them sire.”

”Yes, you are right Captain Baldwin. You always put others before yourself and that is why you are so valued by this kingdom. I, king Reginald bring the celebration here to a close. To be continued in the homes of every gallant soldier standing here today!”

”Long live your Majesty!”

The people cried out happily. Soon they began to disperse to their homes. The soldiers were more than happy to be back home after so long. They hailed their captain who was a master strategist. They understood his role in keeping them safe and they would be eternally loyal to him.

The Kingdom of Andromeda was bustling with so much joy ,it was contagious. Children came out to watch the soldiers and cheer for them as they marched valiantly to their respective homes. The celebration would continue for many days to come and this victory will never be forgotten. It will be recorded in the Chronicles of the kingdom, for future generations to read about.
