Some decisions are just not the best
I grew up in a city very close to my village so just 45mins am from my father's compound, which meant a lot of comfort for me, I never bought any farm products in the market, things like Cassava flour known as garri, Palm oil, yam or vegetables of any type I don't even know where they sell them because just a drop less than 1hive am home and I will get fresh vegetables from the farm.
When it comes to house rent or electricity bills, I comfortably pay them without much stress because they are very affordable, unlike the city of Lagos, where I reside now.

I was enjoying this comfort until the year 2019, when marriage forced me to leave my comfort zone, a place I had enjoyed so well. Yes, the pay for secular work there was just like a tip, still, the cost of living and other side hustles made it look as if I was making millions. In fact, I remember I had a chemist shop I was managing, I had lots of private patients I was taking care of, so I had good returns at the end of every month, I was a very rich babe amongst my age mates then.
In October 2019, I relocated to Lagos. Funny enough, before coming to Lagos, I was anticipating something big, I was thinking I was coming to a bigger city where life is better, but honestly, I really miss my home town till tomorrow, I will forever regret that decision of leaving my comfort zone.
At the end of 2019, it became obvious to me that I had made a great mistake. Leaving my home town wasn't the best choice for me. Unfortunately, the marriage that brought me all the way didn't work out, so I had to start struggling for survival all alone, which has made everything more difficult.
My house rent here in Lagos is a total of both my shop rent and house rent then in the east, life here is very stressful and frustrating, no one takes things easy here everyone are just in a haste all the time, to make it worse I can't find fresh vegetables as I use to then in my home town, to enjoy a good vegetable soup here is only for the rich because it's very expensive.

Then I change my hair every two weeks because I have the money and there are good stylists but I can't even afford changing my hair that often here.
Sadly I just have to stay back because going back to my hometown will amount to starting all over again which might not be so easy for me, tho I might still decide to move back to my hometown someday because the increment in cost of living here especially house rent it's becoming something I don't think I would enjoy doing for a very long time.
I will say that we might not really understand how lovely our comfort zone is until we make a move then we will understand that we were really in our comfort zone earlier.

So sorry to hear all what you pass through. Honestly we won't understand how lovely our comfort zone is until we make a move but to me living a comfort zone is really important because it will help use see things and understand things.
Honestly, living in Lagos is not for the weak, if we want to live in a better house in Lagos then we should be ready to pay huge amounts of money because things in Lagos is expensive. I pray that God nake everything comfortable for you.

Lagos rent is over the roof. Sadly that's the price you paid to leave your hometown.
It is well.
I hope you find a better way for yourself.
