True life story of a stranger I can't forget

This story is about 15 years old, but I can't forget how a stranger saved my life, I have always contacted and checked on her tho lately I can't reach her anymore and it's hurt me so much

That year, I had a male friend who had a good job and I believed he loved me so much and would never hurt me, I never knew he was looking for opportunities to take my life.

This friend of mine worked in my state for two years and was transferred to Delta State, Nigeria, and I thought he loved me. I didn't see anything wrong with visiting and spending time with him.
After three months he left my state, I was missing him so much, and he invited me over to Delta State, At first I was reluctant, but later I decided to pay him a visit.

We fixed a day, he sent me money for transportation and I picked a few of my clothes, I spent 7 hours on the road, I got there so tired and hungry, while on the trip I reached out to him telling him how hungry I was and he promised that he's going to cook something for me.

Writing this flashes back my memory to what happened that faithful day, by now maybe I would been a dead person

Immediately I got to the park, I reached out to him on the phone, he gave the address of his house and explained to me how I could locate the place, when I got to the location he said wasn't around so I had to go sit down at the shop of this "stranger" that saved my life.

Immediately I made her "the stranger" my friend and I started asking her about the environment, business and security, she told me everything was going well before some group of guys came into the area and started killing young ladies for money rituals, immediately I got scared and started thinking of some "What ifs", So I asked her if she knew some of those guys she said yes, she mentioned that they don't even hide themselves because they work for some known men.
At that point, I decided to open up to her and tell her why I'm there. I showed the picture of the guy I came to visit. She smiled and told me that it's ok, but I knew that something was wrong with the way she responded.

I was confused about everything, and I couldn't even think of going back to my state because it's already late. I started wondering why my boyfriend was delaying coming back.
I begged the stranger to let me spend a night in her shop and leave for my state very early in the morning because I couldn't go back and couldn't even go to the guy's house.

She said she is also scared because if my boyfriend gets to know about my stay, she will be in trouble , I promise her that I would switch off my phone and hide myself inside her shop.

Yes, she showed me some pictures of such an incident, but how sure I am that she's even the killer.

But not quite long I became convinced that she wasn't lying, I saw my boyfriend and a friend bringing out something that looked like a body wrapped in a sack, and this was the same guy who told me earlier that he wasn't around, which prompted me to wait at the stranger's shop.

Immediately, I switched off my phone so that he won't get me. Afterwards, the stranger kept me in her inner shop so that he won't find me. When he came asking, she told him that I got upset after I waited for a long time and I left.

I spent the night in the stranger's shop because I wasn't comfortable going to her house, and the next morning she brought me breakfast and asked me to wait till a convenient time to go back to my state.

Yes it's been years but I can't forget that that stranger is the reason why I'm still alive, she's a stranger but god used her to save me from the lions den.

I learned the importance of making friends wherever you find yourself, if I didn't make the stranger my friend maybe I would just seen things by myself which might be disastrous or even the end of my life.
