It is a city that definitely goes with me, surprises, art, colours, treasures and much to discover at every step, a city in movement, where there is no routine. It goes with me.

Hay una costumbre, creo yo, instaurada tanto en los habitantes de la ciudad como en los turistas que todo el año vienen por aquí, el paseo de los domingos. Un paseo que puede situarse en diversas zonas de la ciudad, como el centro histórico, museos varios, playas, pero sobre todo en los diversos mercadillos y paseos marítimos.

La ciudad tiene catorce playas en toda su extensión, sólo conozco cuatro, creo que tengo un largo camino por recorrer. Además, muchas veces me da la sensación de que la ciudad se expande a medida que la recorro, siempre hay algo que no vi, algo nuevo y algo por descubrir. Y eso me encanta.

Por otra parte, es una ciudad siempre cambiante por lo que según haya festividades o cambio de estaciones hay decoraciones nuevas y divertidas en distintas partes de la ciudad. Una ciudad de colores brillantes con un cielo azul intenso, donde rara vez llueve y a pesar de que me encanta la lluvia ver esa vida bajo el sol me gusta mucho y me hace bien, digamos, que lo adopté como estilo de vida.

There is a custom, I believe, established both among the inhabitants of the city and the tourists who come here all year round, the Sunday stroll. A walk that can take place in different areas of the city, such as the historic centre, various museums, beaches, but above all in the various markets and promenades.

The city has fourteen beaches in all its extension, I only know four, I think I have a long way to go. Moreover, I often get the feeling that the city expands as I walk through it, there is always something I haven't seen, something new and something to discover. And I love that.

On the other hand, it is an ever-changing city, so depending on the festivities or the change of seasons, there are new and fun decorations in different parts of the city. A city of bright colours with a deep blue sky, where it rarely rains and even though I love the rain, I love to see that life in the sun and it's good for me, let's say, I adopted it as a way of life.

Por ello cuando en mi caminata pasé por el mercadillo del paseo marítimo, uno de ellos porque ahora hay tres, vi tanto puestos nuevos y renovados como unas decoraciones primaverales hermosas. Los distintos postes que conforman el armazón del lugar tenían flores gigantes de amapolas y mariquitas. Me pareció una decoración espectacular porque me fascinan las amapolas.

Es una flor suave, delicada y muchas veces parece hecha de papel y estas realmente estaban hechas de papel, pero enormes, y las mariquitas les hacían compañía.

Lo más hermoso fue cuando llegue a la decoración central y veo el molino gigante, característico de España con ese campo de amapolas. Si no miraba alrededor y veía los puestos, realmente me parecía estar en un campo así y disfrutando del sol y la tranquilidad, sin más nadie alrededor.

Ya caía el sol, pero la gente que había en el lugar era mucha, cada domingo así es la tradición, es como un paseo donde muchos confluyen en el lugar.

Me detuve a ver algunos puestos sobre todo de ropa de primavera y verano como también sombreros. No uso sombrero, pero podría, me gustan bastante.

Los stands artísticos y de bolsos hechos en cuero o piel también llaman mi atención.

Y uno en particular me gustó por la variedad de queso. También había variedad de vinos, pero el alcohol no es lo mío. Prefiero el agua.

So when on my walk I passed the market on the promenade, one of them because there are now three, I saw both new and renovated stalls and beautiful spring decorations. The various posts that make up the framework of the place had giant flowers of poppies and ladybirds on them. I thought it was a spectacular decoration because I am fascinated by poppies.

They are a soft, delicate flower and often look like they are made of paper and these really were made of paper, but huge, and the ladybirds kept them company.

The most beautiful thing was when I got to the central decoration and saw the giant windmill, characteristic of Spain with that field of poppies. If I didn't look around and see the stalls, it really seemed to me that I was in a field like this, enjoying the sun and the peace and quiet, with no one else around.

The sun was already going down, but there were a lot of people in the place, every Sunday this is the tradition, it's like a walk where many people converge in the place.

I stopped to look at some of the stalls, especially those selling spring and summer clothes and hats. I don't wear a hat, but I could, I quite like them.

The artistic stands and the leather or fur handbags also caught my attention.

And one in particular I liked because of the variety of cheese. There was also a variety of wines, but alcohol is not my thing. I prefer water.

Mi caminata siguió entre las diferentes cafeterías del lugar preparadas y decoradas especialmente para el turismo.

Más adelante pude ver un gran cambio en el palmeral de las sorpresas, así se llama el parque. Había una renovación total de la zona de juegos para niños, una renovación a mejor, con un barco central y los niños lo disfrutaban mucho. Los padres siempre cerca atentos.

Caminando vi más casetas de puestos, es un mercadillo que anteriormente estaba dispuesto uno al lado del otro, pero ahora reformaron el parque de tal manera de que los puestos los colocaron entre las palmeras. Un lugar al que quiero visitar y que debo volver porque a esa hora estaba cerrado, pero pude observar que habían decorado todo con flores y muchas luces que cruzaban todas las zonas del parque en donde dispusieron el mercadillo.

My walk continued between the different cafés of the place prepared and decorated especially for tourism.

Further on I could see a big change in the palm grove of surprises, as the park is called. There was a total renovation of the children's play area, a renovation for the better, with a central boat and the children enjoyed it very much. The parents were always attentive.

Walking I saw more stalls, it is a flea market which was previously arranged side by side, but now the park has been renovated in such a way that the stalls are placed between the palm trees. A place I want to visit and I must return because at that time it was closed, but I could see that they had decorated everything with flowers and many lights that crossed all the areas of the park where they had set up the market.

Las vistas al mar siempre me apasionan, no puedo resistirme a caminar cerca y observar la puesta del sol y que mi vista llegue hasta el faro.

Di toda la vuelta para poder alejarme un poco de tanta gente y estar en un lugar cerca del agua y que mi paseo terminé con el mar y ese cielo con colores tan hermosos. El rosado cuando baja el sol es hermoso verlo en el firmamento.

The views of the sea always fascinate me, I can't resist walking nearby and watching the sunset and my view reaching the lighthouse.

I went all the way around so that I could get away from the crowds and be in a place close to the water and that my walk ended with the sea and the sky with such beautiful colours. The pink when the sun goes down is beautiful to see in the sky.
