During the festivities the city and the tourists have certain customs that are repeated year after year becoming a way of being for everyone, something already traditional among families and above all because the children enjoy the markets and decorations a lot, although we adults also like to see this kind of things.

En las festividades la ciudad y los turistas tiene ciertas costumbres que se repiten año a año convirtiéndose en una forma de ser de todos, algo ya tradicional entre las familias y sobre todo porque los niños disfrutan mucho de los mercadillos y decoraciones, aunque también a los adultos nos gusta ver esa clase de cosas.

Como he dicho en otra ocasión en este mes he realizado muchos paseos, pero sobre todo nocturnos, porque la época, las fiestas y las luces más todos los eventos que hay lo ameritan. Quería disfrutar lo más posible de recorridos que alegraran la vista, ver artículos hermosos y novedosos en los mercadillos, aunque también los que siempre me encantan como pendientes, anillos y mucho más.

Este año pude visitar todos los mercadillos o creo al menos que los visité a todos, pero con motivo de varios días de lluvias me faltó tiempo para recorrer los muy variados belenes que hay por toda la ciudad. No sé realmente cuantos hay, pero sé que son demasiados.

La temporada ya termina, he tomado cientos de fotografías de muchos lugares que iré trayendo poco a poco, pero el paseo que les traigo hoy es uno de mis favoritos en época de fiestas porque es novedoso, siempre me gusta descubrir espacios nuevos.

La fuente de la plaza Marina estaba hermosa con sus colores y el árbol navideño detrás, mientras que las columnas que dan paso a la zona del puerto siempre se ven deslumbrantes. Había visitado un mercadillo al que nunca había ido y que lo habían reformado recientemente, pero muchos locales estaban cerrados. En esta oportunidad pude ver más locales de productos muy variados.

As I have said on other occasions this month I have taken many walks, but mostly at night, because the season, the festivities and the lights plus all the events that take place make it worthwhile. I wanted to enjoy as much as possible of the sightseeing, to see beautiful and new items in the flea markets, but also the ones I always love like earrings, rings and much more.

This year I was able to visit all the markets, or at least I think I visited them all, but due to several days of rain I didn't have time to visit the many different nativity scenes all over the city. I don't really know how many there are, but I know there are too many.

The season is over, I have taken hundreds of photographs of many places that I will bring you little by little, but the walk I bring you today is one of my favourites during the festive season because it is new, I always like to discover new places.

The fountain in the Plaza Marina was beautiful with its colours and the Christmas tree behind it, while the columns leading to the harbour area always look dazzling. I had visited a flea market I had never been to before, which had recently been refurbished, but many of the shops were closed. This time I was able to see more shops selling a wide variety of products.

Una de las cosas que más me gustó es el maniquí que ven lleno de broches de muchas formas y estilos, creo que volveré para comprarme uno. A mi madre le encantaron cuando vio la fotografía, creo iré con ella, le encantará.

Pero no sólo hay accesorios, que es lo que más me gusta ver, sino también ropa muy original, bolsos, bisutería, adornos para estas fechas como campanitas y aquí si encontré muchos grinchs, me encantan, son super graciosos con su cara de enojado. Llaveros de todo tipo, muñecos, juguetes, adornos para el árbol de navidad y hasta un local precioso de perfumes artesanales. Había para todos los gustos.

Pero no sólo eso, sino que el centro de cada uno de los espacios dedicados al gran mercadillo estaba iluminado de manera especial, con guirnaldas de luces y también luces en todos los árboles, creando así una noche mágica. Creo que hablo mucho de la magia, pero el ambiente se vuelve tan especial que parece que uno esta viviendo una fantasía hermosa. Además, con los diseños originales y fuera de lo común de los asientos lo hace un lugar muy especial. Este lugar se llama el palmeral de las sorpresas y su diseño es de los más hermosos de la ciudad.

But there are not only accessories, which is what I like to see most, but also very original clothes, bags, costume jewellery, ornaments for these dates like little bells and here I found many grinchs, I love them, they are super funny with their angry faces. There were all kinds of key rings, dolls, toys, Christmas tree decorations and even a beautiful shop selling handmade perfumes. There was something for everyone.

Not only that, but the centre of each of the spaces dedicated to the big market was lit up in a special way, with garlands of lights and also lights on all the trees, creating a magical night. I think I talk a lot about magic, but the atmosphere becomes so special that you feel like you are living a beautiful fantasy. Also, with the original and out of the ordinary designs of the seats it makes it a very special place. This place is called the palm grove of surprises and its design is one of the most beautiful in the city.

Las luces del muelle uno se ven a lo lejos y mucha gente caminando a todas horas del día, pero mucho más por la noche, aunque haga un poco de frío. Los turistas disfrutan mucho de las atracciones y restaurantes de esta zona. Las palmeras estan adornadas como si en su tronco tuvieran un vestido hecho de pequeñas luces y forman un camino hermoso que si uno lo mira en perspectiva es muy hermoso.

Por otro lado, las tiendas están también decoradas para la ocasión y todo reluce en múltiples colores.

The lights of pier one can be seen in the distance and there are many people walking around at all hours of the day, but even more so at night, even if it is a bit chilly. Tourists enjoy the attractions and restaurants in this area. The palm trees are decorated as if their trunks had a dress made of small lights and they form a beautiful path that is very beautiful if you look at it in perspective.

On the other hand, the shops are also decorated for the occasion and everything shines in multiple colours.

Pero no quería terminar mi recorrido sin dirigirme hacia el mercadillo central, esperando haya una nueva decoración con motivo de la navidad y el año nuevo y cuando llegué allí la decoración no me defraudó.

En el centro del mercadillo había unas hermosas casas o construcciones en miniatura, donde en sus ventanales podían verse distintas escenas de la vida. Me parecieron casas rústicas o características de algún lugar de Europa o de pueblos quizá y lo que más me gusto fue que tenían unas decoraciones navideñas muy delicadas con árboles nevados con luces.

Las personas se acercaban a tomarse fotografías y los niños miraban las ventanas. Un detalle muy especial que ha tenido el ayuntamiento en este espacio. Siempre lo decoran de una manera original y hermosa, mientras los puestos alrededor crean un clima de calidez como si fuera una mini ciudad.

Me encantó visitar todos estos lugares en esta caminata especial y siempre con la vista en el castillo que por la noche también tiene su magia con sus luces durante todo el año, pero ahora acompañado por las calles del centro que estaban realmente preciosas.

But I didn't want to end my tour without going to the central market, hoping for a new decoration for Christmas and the New Year, and when I got there I was not disappointed.

In the centre of the market there were some beautiful miniature houses or constructions, where you could see different scenes of life in their windows. I thought they looked like rustic houses or characteristic of some place in Europe or perhaps villages and what I liked most was that they had very delicate Christmas decorations with snowy trees with lights.

People would come up to take pictures and children would look in the windows. A very special detail that the city council has had in this space. They always decorate it in an original and beautiful way, while the stalls around it create a warm atmosphere as if it were a mini city.

I loved visiting all these places on this special walk and always with an eye on the castle which at night also has its magic with its lights all year round, but now accompanied by the streets of the centre which were really beautiful.
