Milk Bun - Sourdough Bread With Milk Butter Flavor
It turns out there are many ways to make ourselves happy. One of them is finding the right passion for us. It dont have to be something heavy, fancy, or difficult to do, but find what truly matching us. Whatever it is, you can pursue your passion well and find heal for your soul.
I have a passion for baking bread, sure. I've really taken to it lately cause I have a sourdough starter. I feel happy do that and bake bread almost every week. Like this time, try a new flavor: MILK BUN.
Sure, this post for #hivetopchef @qurator challenge fot this week : Oven Meals..
Making sourdough starter is the key to successfully bake bread with natural dough. But its really difficult at first, and I fail repeatedly. I finally find the right starter, and I use it every time I bake bread now.
This time, I making milk bun bread with a 10:10:1 ratio and left it at room temperature for 12 hours, resulting in ready to use sourdough.
Using 390 grams of high protein flour, 90 grams of sourdough starter, 225 ml of liquid milk, 30 grams of sugar, and 35 grams of butter. They are the main ingredients I use for this milk bun recipe.
You can mix the ingredients above use a 3-minute kneading, 15-minute resting method, and repeat this four times before bulk fermenting. Or you can use a cold ferment.
Making sourdough bread does take a long time, right? That's why it requires proper time management, but trust me the results can't disappoint even if you make bread without a mixer. Just set the oven to the right temperature and time to avoid over cooking.
I usually use 200 degrees Celsius for 15-17 minutes. My oven is quite old, so it do require a long time and careful monitoring. Usually, when the first tray into the oven, I wait and time it. It's little difficult, but I think you'll get the idea.
After baking, I mixing in powdered sugar called icing sugar, and vanilla milk. This type of powdered milk has the most milky and fatty aroma. However, before coating with the milk powder, I brushed a little butter on the bread, which helped it stick to the surface.
It was ready to be coated with that and served, especially with warm bread!
See you the next time hive friends!

I'm just a woman who wants to write whatever's on my mind. I really enjoy cooking, occasionally traveling, and doing whatever I like. I want to live like a bird flying freely in nature. But I know I'm only human. So, I can only write freely like a bird that can fly with its two wings.

Oh, how delicious, my friend! I love the look of that milk and sourdough bread. Someday I'll make a similar bread. I don't have much patience for sourdough, but I'll try it sometime soon.
Thanks for the recipe, it's great.👌😍
If cooking is your passion, you’ll always be happy no matter how your dish turns out—right or wrong—and you won’t get tired of it. I remember my daughter, whenever she bakes, I just eat what she makes, haha.
omg this looks sooo good 😍 I’ve always wanted to try making sourdough but it sounds super hard lol. the milk bun looks perfect tho
