Passion, Profit and Independence #252

Three words that motivate me: Passion, Profit and Independence. All three are important in their own way, but if I had to choose, I would say independence is the strongest driving force behind everything I do.

From a very young age, I disliked the thought of being completely dependent on others for things that mattered to me. Growing up, my parents believed strongly that I should rely on them, and later on, get married to a stable man who would take care of all my needs and wants. At first, it felt like a challenge as a young woman trying to discover her own path. But deep down, I knew I wanted something different. I wanted the freedom to build and achieve things on my own.

This desire pushed me to start small. While in school, I found little things I could handle and focused on them. These may have seemed minor at the time, but for me, they were stepping stones toward the bigger dream of living life on my terms. Every small responsibility I took on, gave me a sense of control and taught me that Independence is not something handed to you, you have to create it for yourself.

They’re moments when I feel tired, overwhelmed or even tempted to give up. But then, I remind myself of the plans I’ve set and the vision I have for my future. I think about the kind of woman I want to be and the satisfaction I’ll feel when I can look back and say “I did this on my own.” Independence is not always easy, it’s certainly not a walk in the park, but the confidence and fulfillment it brings are worth every sacrifice.

Ofcourse passion and profit play their role too. My passion is what keeps me excited about the journey and makes my hardwork meaningful.
Profit, on the other hand, is a necessity. After all, what’s business without profit? Profit is what provides the resources to sustain Independence.

Ultimately, I believe a balance of all three: Passion, Profit and Independence is necessary. But for me, Independence stands out, reminding me that I don’t want to be someone who always asks, I also want to provide, support and be a giver.

Well said.. we have the same thoughts. I never wanted to be dependent on others. I became independent at a young age.
But what I wanted to achieve now at my age is to have my own house and be totally independent, not living under the same roof with my siblings.
