Kalanrakas Sa Kabataan 2025: Pre - Celebration Of The 46th Lanzones Festival In Camiguin Island

I am sharing photos of the event held in our municipality last monday. Were the elementary pupils dresses in customes that highlights the lanzones festival celebration. Kalanrakas sa Kabataan is a mini festival among the elementary grade students in Camiguin Island.

Hello everyone. 👋 Our beautiful island named Camiguin will yearly celebrate the Lanzones Festival. It is called lanzones festival because our main fruit that grows aboundantly in the island is the fruit called lanzones. And this month is its peak season. Camiguin lanzones is known for its sweet and savory taste. In our backyard we planted three lanzones trees but sadly this year it doesn't bear. Well back to the story, the lanzones festival is a week long celebration which well be held in mambajao. On sunday we officially open the celebration. By doing the parade where the their are giant floats, different participants showcasing there artistry by doing different types of hats which symbolizes the celebration.

And on monday our municipality of catarman showcase the talents and undiable energy of our youths in elementary grades. Our barangay participated in the event. The officials, trainors, parents and specially the children showed there perseverance. From the making and sewing the dresses to endless everyday pratice.

They started it by doing the parade including all the barangays who participated. Over all there are eight barangays who join the said contest. The youths indures the intensely heat of the sun just to bring and give their joy of dancing.

Our barangay named as top 3 winners which will compete on the closing of the celebration on sunday. On the other hand my cousin join the competition but she is in the other barangay. My eldest son wanted to join also to have some experience but sadly he has weak immune system. When he is having hard days he'll always end up having a cough that's why i dont allow him. It is better to always secure his wellness first.

As you can see in the picture children are dressed in festive and colorful attires. This is just some of the highlights of our festival you would be thrilled and wowed if you will witness some of it.
