I've filled the place with things; some don't seem organized, but everything is useful, everything is necessary for my work. Bags and tools are piled up, the materials aren't yet shaped, but they will be. Crouching down, I try to arrange, fold, adjust, and get everything ready. She accompanies me without speaking, without distracting me; she's wrapped up in her own business.

She watches me, but doesn't come close to bother me, to interfere, just to watch. She has her calm, curious posture, as if she's waiting for something, waiting for a surprise, something to change, but she doesn't know what. Every movement I make draws her attention to me, every sound of each material and tool; she wants to know what it is and what it's for.

There are no words between us, but there is communication, above all curiosity; we are a silent agreement of mutual curiosity. We don't need to understand what's happening to want to be here.

Curiosity doesn't always seek answers; sometimes it just wants to be there, sometimes it just wants to be present, to be close, to see how space transforms, how something is built, and with that, we're both happy.

❖ Curiosidad ❖

He abarrotado el lugar de cosas, algunas no parecen tener orden pero todo es útil, todo es necesario para mi trabajo. Bolsas y herramientas se apilan todas, los materiales aún no tienen forma pero lo tendrán, agachado intento arreglar, doblar, ajustar, dejar todo listo. Me acompaña sin hablar, sin distraerme, ella está metida en sus propios asuntos.

Ella me observa, pero no se acerca a molestarme, a interferir, a solo mirar. Tiene su tranquila postura de curiosidad, como si esperara algo, esperara una sorpresa, algo que cambie pero que no sabe qué. Cada movimiento que hago hace que su atención se fije en mí, cada sonido de cada material y herramienta, ella quiere saber qué es y para qué es.

Entre nosotros no hay palabras pero sí hay comunicación, sobre todo curiosidad, somos un acuerdo silencioso de mutua curiosidad. No necesitamos entender lo que está pasando para querer estar aquí.

La curiosidad no siempre busca respuestas, a veces solo quiere estar, a veces solo quiere presencia, estar cerca, ver como se transforma el espacio, como se construye algo, y con eso ambos somos felices.
