Hello creatives, I was so inspired by one of our own members here on Draw A Day community: @artofkylin . She has been crushing it with her month-long bug drawing challenge relentlessly, and I want us all to join and be a part of the fun. Let’s take those creepy-crawlies and give them some high-fashion look or maybe a warrior’s spirit if you so desire. Ok?

This is a limited or shall we say a special character design contest. Your mission is to pick one of @artofkylin’s beautiful bug drawings from this month and "dress it up." Although I had not asked for her permission to use her drawings hope @artofkylin won't mind. This is also my way of asking for her permission :) Anyway, I am hoping she will give us her blessing so going back to my thought... Turn that insect or bug into a unique character with a costume, accessories, or a whole new personality. You go big with your design or go home :) you need to impress us.

Here are the Rules

• Pick Your Bug: Choose any of the bug drawing posted by @artofkylin this month as your design inspiration.
• Design the Character: Add clothing, armor, hats, or tools to turn that bug into a character. When I say character it must be a character with personality
• Give Credit: Mention which of her (@artofkylin) drawings inspired you in your creation
• Entry Title: Use the title Dress Up A Bug Contest.
• Prizes: 8 HIVE total is up for grabs
  FIRST PLACE: 4 HIVE
  SECOND PLACE: 2 HIVE
  THIRD PLACE: 1 HIVE
  SPECIAL MENTION:1 HIVE

I will be choosing the winners using these Judging Criteria

• Creative Transformation: We are looking for how cleverly you adapt @artofkylin’s base design. The goal is to see how you use the bug's natural shapes and features to inspire your character's outfit, accessories, and overall personality.
• Artistic Effort: Whether it’s a quick sketch or a digital masterpiece, show us your best.
• Character Story: A tiny sentence about who your bug character is like "The Royal Snail Messenger" goes a long way.

• Post your drawing under the Draw A Day community.
• Use the title Dress Up A Bug Contest.
• Any medium is welcome—sketchy, clean, digital, or traditional.
• Include a link or shoutout to the @artofkylin post that inspired you.
• Deadline, is on March 9 more or less two weeks lead time to create your entry
