Celebrating the New Year with Meaning, Not Money
Many times we think of celebration as big events, high expenses, and extravagant decorations. But the reality is that a truly enjoyable celebration does not require extra expenses. In my previous post, I said that I do not like the whole parties of 31 Fast Night because I like a very calm atmosphere.
Basically, before celebrating such a day, I think, is it really necessary? What is the specialness of the day? Yes, I will not get December 31, 2025 in my life again. But for this, I have to spend a lot of money to celebrate the day, it seems to me that there is no need for it. I mainly spend this day with my family. This year too, I have the same plan.
So, I bring a cake on the last day of the year and cut that set right after the new year starts. Because in our religion, we have to start something auspicious by eating sweets before starting it. So, I do it anyway. This went with my family, and nothing else is done with friends that night because now everyone has a family, so the next day all the friends meet together. We chat a lot and eat some fast food with them.
In our daily lives, needs and wants mix with each other. When we understand the difference between these two and plan, then we understand how beautifully a day can be spent even with a small expense. What can be more beautiful than starting a new journey with family and friends.
