Manual Curator Contest Results

Hey everyone! With the help of @shiftrox we narrowed down the eligible participants and had a good look at everyone being nominated and have decided upon the first winners of the manual curator contest!

I'm hoping this'll be a common contest so we can encourage more users to curate manually and enrich the engagement level on Hive further and more importantly for curators putting in effort to get some additional rewards for their time. While this is starting out coming from my own stake, we had a few awesome additions to grow the prizes thanks to @shanibeer and @mightyrocklee which is awesome to see. This means the total prize pool is now 11,000 HP to 5 curators! (2,200 each)

We'll wanna continue this contest and will be thinking of the best ways of monitoring existing winners continued curation and use of the delegations along with opening more opportunities for existing winners to win more along with new curators to also earn long-lasting delegations through the contest. It may take a while until we've ironed this out and the next contest goes live!

Make sure to also check on the rules as contestants and winners from the first post as to avoid wasting time on nominations that are too big in voting power or don't seem to curate manually or spend any time engaging on-chain.

We may also further evolve the contest by checking how past winners have been doing and making use of their delegations over time.

Almost 500 comments lol it must have taken ages to check them... How about a editable poll? I'm not sure if can be done on peakd, I know you can make polls, would be good editable ones so that you add the option and people just vote on it, you don't need to check every comment then

Yeah I think easiest next time will be for users to have to mention the username rather than just replying and vouching for one already mentioned. That made it a lot harder in hindsight.
